Father, I thank you for everyone that tunes into this uh podcast that we do. Lord, is it's it's something that Jarris and I enjoy doing together as friends and as brothers in Christ. Lord, I just pray for every person that tunes in around the world um that they would hear the joy and the love that comes from community in Jesus. Lord, I pray that we would continue to press into you, God, um, and and help us, God, every every conversation that comes up in these episodes, every thing we talk about, every topic, Lord, help us to try and bring it back to you. And I just pray that that would encourage anyone who listens, anyone who's going through a hard time right now, be it financially or emotionally, mentally, I just pray for the comfort of Jesus Christ over them right now. So I had to go with the runner up. So before you reveal it, I wanted to say, and it's gonna be really, really funny if it is what it is. And then I went home and started looking at Lego sets, and I'm just like, dang it. I should have picked it. I should have picked this one. And I was like, it is Luffy from One Piece. Oh, like the figure. Like you build a figure up. You build the figure. It wasn't a mini fig, but it was like one of those like build it and it's a character set. Yeah. And I was like, dang it. I should have picked that one. That would have been cool.

I I don't know what the coding system I know that they use it now for the companion app. So you can download the Let's Build app, yeah, and you can either scan the QR code or input your Legos, Lego set number, and it'll pull up the instructions on your phone.

So maybe it is just you can search that set, and this is the only set with this number. With Funko Pops, it's like Funko Pop has like pop lines, yeah. And then it is the Funko Pop number one in the video game line, in the Disney line. Yeah. In the sports line. That's how they do it that way. But uh, if y'all are tired of me sitting here ranting, not saying what it is, and you haven't looked it up, it is the Lego Super Mario Mario Kart set. In honor of the open world Mario uh Super Mario Super Mario, what's it called? Mario Kart World. Yep. The Switch 2 for the Switch 2 is so much fun. Yeah. I have a few small complaints on it in the sense of how they integrate races and tracks. I I I thought you meant the Lego set. No, this is great. It is Mario's cart, and it comes with a toad. And I guess I'm gonna have to get back my Mario from your child so Mario can uh drive it.

So in Mario Kart, they have a Mario Kart Grand Prix. So it's a set of four races that would be typically you have three laps around the track and then Vehicle races. Vehicle races.

So, anyways, so my complaint real quick is that in Mario Kart World, it's now an open world game. So if you choose the Grand Prix, it's the first race in it is a three-lap race, like typical. Then the other three on it are one lap rallies, like it's go from one point to another across the map.

And it's like you're going across the map and then you enter a normal actual track within that race and you race one lap on it. And it's like I kind of wish that didn't exist in there, or there was an option to turn off that rally from point to point. Because the races are more fun to me on three laps. The game overall is fantastic. It's probably my second favorite Mario Kart. Okay. And it would be my favorite if they didn't have that rally from uh from racetrack to racetrack. But whatever. But yeah, I'm gonna pop bad pop this bad boy open and start building it right now.

Uh we when we're talking about going in a deep dive into different religions, uh Catholicism, Scientology, uh Mormonism, Freemasons, uh, and there's the other one. I'm blanking on it, uh Jehovah's Witnesses. Yep. The JWs.

I can't believe that I'm arguing for Catholics, but they're not a different religion than us.

They have different practices. There we go. But they believe the same thing as us for the most part. Core doctrines are pretty much the same. So the reason why I say all that is those are actually mass popular religions. Yeah. Big, really big, big, huge. Love has won huge. Love has won is very tiny, very small. And so, and the things they believe, it's it's wackier than Scientology. I think the only reason why Scientology is is so big is because they are very secretive of what they l believe, and by the time they within the religion reveal what you're supposed to believe, you're in too deep. But I would like I think love is one is more out there than Scientology.

Yeah, it uh it's it's pretty far. But that's everything, like that's the thing. Everything new age, like unless you are indoctrinated into it, when you get into the deep ends of new age, like you're like, wow, this is too much. But it's a good, I think, as Christians, not to say that we need to deep dive into the new age.

No, but we gotta know and have some knowledge of what the enemy is presenting to people. Because it's not new.

That's what I was getting at is with new age, these are timeless things that have been going on, not timeless, but these are ancient things that have been going on forever. Yeah. Because things like reading of crystals, you know, auras, your chakras, all these different things that they practice, spiritual enlightenment, um, releasing your spirit so that it can be free, you know, the these different things, these different Gnostic ideas mixed in with, you know, witchcraft practices, is they've been going on forever. I mean, the first century church, John, his gospel is combating Gnosticism in all of John's writings. He's basically fighting against Gnostic teachings that are already popping up. So, you know, these things have been around for a long time. So when you look at things like this Love is one cult, just don't be surprised that it's happening, but be aware that this stuff is happening. I think that's the biggest problem with the church today in America is we like to be ignorant of what's going on around us so that it's almost like we can plead the, oh, I didn't know, I didn't know.

The story around this cult in its timeline is way more interesting than what they believe when you're talking about what happened. Uh, hold on one second. I just want to just uh that was me opening the Facet First bag for everyone out there. And then this is me, hold on, I'm gonna just get it in nice and close. Love is one. Uh I wanted to say this. The way the way I found out about this cult is that I was on uh me and Ashley, my wife, were watching TV. I fell asleep on the couch, and then she put on there is a uh HBO documentary about this cult. Yeah. Um I wouldn't recommend watching it just because there's a lot of language in it. Okay. And there's a lot of they show a lot of the imagery of what happens to this cult leader leader. Okay. And it's very disturbing.

Yes. So, anyways, okay, so the beginning of the documentary. Right. So it is uh the police going in to the compound because they get a report and they go in and they find this body. Yeah. And I was asleep and I woke up to the moment where they're finding the body and it jolted me awake. It scared me so bad.

Just it in the documentary, it's not horribly, horribly graphic, but it was enough that it was a shock when you're waking up and looking up and seeing this body. Uh yeah, a dead body is is is is awful, no matter what. Yeah. But we then proceeded to watch all of this until like four o'clock in the morning. Oh my god. It's like a four-episode documentary. And so we ended up watching it was a weekend. It was a school night.

kind of started by if you want to go even further back, it starts out with this woman.

Like, she is the leader of this cult. And you know that she went, like, she worked at McDonald's as a manager. Yeah.

And then from there, she I don't know the full She left her husband and children, her third husband children. Right. And cut ties with them and most of her family. And started this hippie-dippy stuff. And started following this one guy who started the Galactic Federation of Light. I can't remember what his name is.

We'll call we'll call him well Robert Robert Saltgaver. Saltzgaver. So I want to be careful here because fast forward a little bit, she goes by Mother God. Yes. I do not want to call her that in this episode. We're going to call her Amy, because that's her name. That's her actual name. Actual name. Just so you know, if we actually slip up and reference Mother God, we're talking about Amy, but we're going to try her our best just to keep referencing her as Amy.

Yeah, because that's what she called, that's what her entire cult is. Is it's called the Love is One, but it's the cult of Mother God, pretty much. But she meets up with this guy, Robert Saltzgaver, also known as Amareth White Eagle. That's right, it's very, very hippie. And they get going, and I think like some people portray it as like he manipulates her into thinking that she is the she is God incarnate. And it's um and then he leaves the picture somehow.

It's kind of not super duper clear, but he leaves the picture. He was doing this whole thing and then lost kind of control of it, and then he steps away, and then she's now being pulled into this ideology, is now full on heading it up.

Yeah, she's kind of in charge, but she always gets a counterpart to kind of run things for her so that she can just exist and do whatever she wants to do. Because that's ultimately what it comes down to. Yeah, the cult evolves into her just doing whatever she wants to do. She's a she's a drug addict and alcoholic, is what it really comes down to. Yeah. And so she she gets a person called Father God to be her counterpart. Yes. And even though there's the mother god and the father god, she goes through in the span of her religion, r religion's existence, I think the count was six different father gods.

Yeah. There's so many, and I at one point, again, and it's it's very lustful in that sense, where it's like father god being like her husband, yeah, in this religion, but once she got grew tired of a father god, she just moved on to the next father god. It had nothing to do with, you know, yeah, actual real compatibility or anything.

Yep. So yeah, but like the religion basically people come, they do a lot of online video live streams. Right. And that's where they post the updates on what they're doing, they give their insights, and she gives her religious whatevers. Uh right.

And it's all this like buyer crystals, buyer this, buyer that. It's all very monetarily driven.

Yeah, buyer thinks because they're what they're trying to do is as the galactic federation of light, they're trying to fight off the darkness, which they call the cabal.

And that's a destiny term, like from the game Destiny. Yeah. There's an enemy race called the Cabal.

Well, there's this secret organization called the Cabal that Mother God, she's the only one who can defeat them. And the only way for her to defeat them is to get the I can't even remember how they did it. But basically it was power. Like she has to get to this certain point of enlightenment, and in order for her to do that, she needs the support of other people. Meaning she needs she needs people to buy their products so that she can do different things that help her focus on channeling light. Right. And these were some of the things that were that the people in the cult, this is what they would say she does to help channel light. She would play sandbox video games on her phone, and that helped her focus, and so she would need money to buy different things for these games, you know, add-ons and microtransactions. Microtransactions. And she also getting food whenever she needed it, and so she needed money for, you know, like Uber Eats and stuff. And so that was kind of their mission. Like whenever mom has a hankering for whatever, whatever, you know, we need to be able to Uber it in, so we need money to be able to buy her food whenever she wants food. And whenever she's playing these games, if she needs to do a microtransaction or whatever, she needs to have the money to be able to do that. And oh the and the reason is so that she can focus on channeling light to fight the cabal.

try to be able to find it right now, but it's like somewhere in there it says that she charges uh like a med they called it like a medical procedure where she would remotely work on your spirit. Yeah. For $88, she can remotely work on your spirit.

Yeah, yeah. Uh I think she called it, I think it was called spiritual surgery. Yeah. Spirit surgery or whatever. And yeah, yeah. You pay the money, and then she goes in and fixes your spiritual problems with her spiritual scapel.

And that's it, okay. This is the thing. Like, we're we're just dropping these random little nuggets from you know, doing the research on this stuff. And it all sounds silly and wacky, but because it is it is coming back around to it, dude. Like that at one point I think they had like 25 people on their compound who believed in this, yeah. And then dozens of others who were donating money. Yeah, on to the live streams. To live streams and stuff. And so I don't know, dude. It it to me, as a Christian, it screams humanity is always looking for a God to worship.

Yeah, anything they can do to defy the true one living God.

I wouldn't even put it that way. I would just say that we were created to worship God, and when we're and when people are in darkness or born into darkness or living in darkness, or even if they've denied God and they turn to darkness, they cannot escape the reality of they have to worship something because it's a part of their DNA, like they created us to worship. And so when we take our worship and we don't direct it towards the creator of the universe, the one true living God who in the book of Isaiah says, I know of no other God, I am the only one, then and we worship these false idols, we can get manipulated really easy. You know, I look at all these other religions out there, and and you know, you could say some things in Christianity is kind of bizarre, but some of the stuff that is concocted in these other religions to be like this is what you have to do to be pious and religious and good and upstanding and whatever, whatever, whatever. It's like, man, I would not do that. You know it that just seems that just seems like it's benefiting someone else, um, and it's not improving my life in any way. And then we come around as a Christian, it's like, hey, it's not about like your life improving, it's about your eternity and who you're gonna be with, the creator who created you, or totally separate from him. Like you want to be in. I think we all want truth. We all want to exist in the truth.

And it's like you just kind of get sucked into something that isn't the truth, and the way these things are designed is that there everything is gonna tell you no, we're the the truth.

Well, and that's the problem with the progressive movement in America, which the progressive church is not helpful at all. Because they are I mean, they slander the name of Jesus Christ. Um, and there will be there will be a reckoning for that one day, unless they repent. But the the concept of my truth is so accepted today in America that all these different people are following whatever suits their fancy. I mean, that's a f that's an entire phrase, right? Follow your bliss. Like well, and but this is what I was getting at is because their argument can be you can confront them about their false belief and bring evidence and speak truth and have a solid logical argument against why what against what they're doing. And the response can be, and this will be acceptable to a large group of people, the response will be is well, that's not my truth. Right. This is my truth, and it's like, okay, but your truth doesn't matter. The truth is what matters, right? But our culture has become to where there's there is a very large percentage of the people that exist in our country. It's not about the truth, it's about each individual's truth. We were joking around earlier, but there's a Bible verse in Judges. Actually, it's mentioned in Judges, I think, two to three different times. But the way it goes is there was no king in the land in those days, and so each man did according to what he thought was right. Meaning like there was no unity, and there was no there was no one to uphold the law to enforce it, and so whatever suited their fancy is what they would do, and that's what led into idolatry and worshiping of other spirits and entities and not God. And here we are today in America where it's not about the truth, it's about my truth. You know, we're not willing to we're not willing to acknowledge that Christ is our king and he's on the throne ruling. And so when we reject him as king, it's each man for it's every man for himself. And that's where we get to this cult. The Mother God cult, love is one cult. This lady was convinced that she is God incarnate.

Yeah, and that she believed and promoted promoted that she is you know billions of years old, and she's just been reincarnated over and over and over and

over, and that one of those reincarnations happens to be Jesus. Yep.

And and so yeah, she comes up with this entire spiel on who she is, what she's doing, and how you can help her accomplish whatever she's trying to do.

Yep. And some of the stuff, like for the people on the compound that were the devout followers.

Mm-hmm. It was it's it's cult borderline abuse. I mean, not even borderline, it was abuse.

Yeah, they they were basically told like to further their enlightenment, they had to decrease the amount of hours they would sleep. So they could only sleep, I think it was like two to three hours. Jeez. And uh they had to, depending on the day, determined what colors they could wear.

Yeah, exactly. Yeah, exactly like that. It's just like that. But um, there's one thing where basically if another woman in the community was being s saucy or sassy, and Amy didn't like it, she claimed that that person had a Jezebel spirit or a whore or a I think they said whore, a whore spirit, harlot spirit. I can't remember what term they used, but it was along those lines. It was like a harlot horror, whatever. Uh and so she would have to go out into this designated area where there's just a tent and stay there until she was called back by Amy.

Yeah, until Amy determines when she's she's a he stopped being sh this spirit of Jezebel has left her or whatever they called it. And dude, there's I mean, talking about abuse, there was a story. This guy he bought into this hook, line, and sinker, left his family, like just disappeared. They thought he was like kidnapped or whatever.

He disappears, gives a bunch of money to this group to join and be a part of it, and they take him on a hike with them and they leave him out there in the wilderness.

But they needed to purify her body, so she was, I don't remember what it's called, but she was constantly drinking what they claimed to be mess medicine, but it was pretty much pure silver. Jeez. And she was constantly, constantly, you know, drinking this stuff.

He didn't really believe it, but he saw a monetary gain opportunity. Yeah. He called the police on them and took all their money and left.

There's one video of her abusing a cat on the screen, she's like not like super bad, she's not like punching it in the face, but she is abusing it, and like there's things where there's a kid, like a little toddler, and this is what I hate the most, dude. Yeah, when you've got these cults and there's children involved, yeah, like, but she basically is I guess playing with this child, and then tells whoever's child it is, she tells them to come get them. She says, Lock that kid up in because the kid started getting fussy. She's like, Lock that kid up in the closet until it stops crying, until it starts and the dude, like, they're not ignoring her, they're doing what she tells them to do. Yeah. Because she's their god.

Because there's a lot of guys out there who get into church business not because they want to glorify God and and raise up disciples, because they see a financial uh benefit benefit to it. And so that's what they're after. They're after the financial benefit, and so you see just abuse run rampant and tucked under the rug. You know, there's so many different alleged stories and and accusations of like Kenneth Copeland, you know, and and the bishop guy, I can't remember his name. Um Benny Hinn, who knows? Um yeah, Benny Hinn. There's a lot of accusations with Benny Hinn. But there's so many different people that they get power within this religious institution and it corrupts them. Rather them, rather than them being humble and humbling themselves before the Lord, they build themselves, they puff themselves up. And so we as Christians, we have to acknowledge that that is a stumbling block for leaders. It's not just in the cults, these crazy, far out there ideas. It's not just in the other religions, it's in it's in our faith system as well. Yeah. So we've got to be, and that's why it's all about humility. And that's why Jesus tells his disciples, it's not about who's first. It's who's the least of these. The first shall be last and the last shall be first. So he who builds himself up cannot expect some to not cannot expect to be built up even more when Christ returns and when he enters into the kingdom of heaven. Like God cherishes a humble and contrite heart. And I think that we need to acknowledge that like God's aware of our sin. Every single sin that we have committed, we're we're committing and we're going to commit. And so for us to puff ourselves up and to build ourselves up in this way and act like it's a benefit to God is only being is it's only it's pride, it's not righteousness. And you know, true righteousness will be revealed through our humility and our love for others, not our pride in ourselves and our own accomplishments. Because Paul says, My righteousness is like filthy rags. Right. And like filth that he's talking about is like excrement filth, like that kind of filthy rags. That's what his righteousness is when when put before a holy, righteous God. So to to take uh pride and and be confident in our righteousness, God's not going to be impressed. But if we humble ourselves and we wear the righteousness of Christ, then we will be we'll be considered holy before God, not because of what we've done, but because we're wearing the righteousness of Christ, and we're not trying to wear our own righteousness. Does that make sense? Yeah, of course it does.

Humility, Righteousness, And Leadership Warnings

And so that's the thing with these cults, okay? That's what I wanted to get into is it's all about my goodness and and my standard of good, and this is what I say is good, and it's all about me, me, me. And and the people that get into this, what can I get out of this? What can I do with this? How can this benefit me? All this, that, and the other. And when it's not working out for them, you know, they leave, or or it falls apart, or whatever it is.

So it's talking about wanting to leave. There is a moment in it. Again, she's fully believing her own lie at this point, right? Yeah. But she's also in a lot of pain. Yeah. So there's a part where she starts saying in the show, I was lying. I I'm uh it's over. Take to me, take me to a hospital. Please help me, please help me. There is a moment in that.

Yeah, that's rough. Um going back to righteousness, armor of God, breastplate of righteousness. The breastplate's what covers all your vital organs. Uh, so you know, take that and and put it this way is it's not our righteousness, it's the righteousness of Christ. And when we don it, when we wear it, right, we are considered righteous, and it protects us from the enemy. It's that extra layer of protection that holds everything vital safe. So that's what we need to be aware of. It's not our works. You know, that's what we believe as Christians. It's not by our works that we're saved, but it's by our faith. Through it's it's God's grace through faith that we are saved. So whereas with the Love is One cult, it's about giving me giving Amy whatever she needs to be able to get to the point of enlightenment.

And I really fully believe that it started out as a like all cults, it started out as a way to gain something, right? For her, she it was to have a gain on her worldly desires. And then she slowly started to believe this lie that she was in, and it's and it gets her killed.

Yeah, and and going back to that at the beginning in 2007 is when she leaves her family and her job and gets into this. So before that, she was living a normal, well, somewhat normal life. So somewhere along the way, she starts getting deceived and manipulated into stepping into this new agey existence. So, you know, it's not like it just out of nowhere a bleep, and she just was like, you know what? I'm God. I'm gonna go start a following. No, over time, she it was half truth after half truth, faults build up, lies, deception to get her to the point to where she's willing to run away from her entire life, her responsibilities, the ones who've loved her and who she's supposed to love, she leaves them. Yeah. And she chases after this promise of whatever.

Mind you, too, like something that they go over in the documentary is that her family is trying to save her. Like they know where she's at, and they're like, but like the cult and her, you know, her herself is all just declining any kind of interaction with an outside person.

So yeah, but this is just this is out there. Think about the countless different cults that are operating just like this and that potentially are like way worse than this, that are still in existence.

But then when it's like, I'm dying, I need to go to a hospital, they were like, Oh no, no, no, no. You don't need to go to a hospital. This is a part of the part of this is your test. Yeah, this is your holy like you're above hospitals because you're not human, you're Mother God. You know, and so it was more for them, it was more important for her to fulfill their religious beliefs than for her to be healthy.

And that's the hard thing, is because you know, she died in this. Like no one truly knows who's gonna be in heaven 100%.
