Setting Up the Summer Movie Draft
Speaker 1Hey guys , here's some bonus content from the Saints that Serve podcast . I hope you enjoy it .
Speaker 2Bonus . Hey everybody , welcome to a very special bonus episode of the Saints that Serve podcast . What are we doing today ? I don't know . You tell me . Yeah , I gathered everybody down here and I said sit down , shut up and listen . Well , don't we have to talk , though , for the no ? If you talk I'll lose no talking . So we are playing . Oh , I just lost the game . So at the launch of this episode , which is May 2nd , it is the beginning of the summer movie lineup , so that's when all the summer movies start . So I had the bright idea to have a summer movie draft .
Speaker 1He was screwing the light bulb in and he was like I know what we should do , and it was this it was blinding the idea . The idea was blinding or the light bulb Both .
Speaker 2Oh , okay , so we're going to do a little summer movie draft , and so how it's going to work is I'm going to name off in release order each movie . We have 98 points to bid on those movies and once you're done bidding , that's it . So you get that movie , you'll end up with a lineup of movies and at the end of the summer movies , which I believe is around September 20th if I'm not mistaken , we will tally up the total domestic earnings of all the movies that you picked and whoever has the most monies wins .
Speaker 3Why just domestic ?
Speaker 2Because that's what this is tracking on this site . Oh yeah , also , our players today is me , johnny , and my beautiful , lovely wife Ashley , beautiful , lovely , beautiful , lovely . You can't see her , but I can , and she's Beautiful , lovely . You can't see her , but I can , and she's beautiful and lovely .
Speaker 1I can't see her either .
Speaker 2Thank you , johnny's blind . So , without further to do I , do you want to get into this ?
Speaker 1A clarification . Queer wolf equation Clarification . What so we've got 98 points apiece .
Speaker 2Yes , Like If , clarification , what ? So we've got 98 points a piece . Yes , like if you bid and win , you lose your points . Like you , you've bought the movie if you bid , you don't lose . Oh , so we can bid each other on a movie yes , I'm gonna call it the movies movie and we're gonna each right here on the mic say one point , two point , three point , whatever .
Speaker 1So whoever gets the movie . We use our points to get the movie , yes .
Speaker 2And then , whenever the movie releases , whatever the domestic earnings of that movie is is what you will earn for that movie ? Okay , and then your movie will be tallied up at the end like sorry , all your movies will be tallied up at the end . Sorry , all your movies will be tallied up at the end and whoever has the most wins Got it . Now the most important question here is what does the winner get ?
Speaker 1That is a good question .
Speaker 2Maybe a movie ? Okay , here it is , here it is , we will buy . The Two losers have to chip in together to buy the winner their highest grossing movie on DVD .
Speaker 3Okay , cool , oh okay , dvd or Blu-ray .
Speaker 2No , I think it should be the lowest quality of that film that's released on physical media , when the home media for that movie releases floppy disk , floppy disk you just get like a big box full of like 10 floppy disks . It would take way more than 10 . It'd be like 10 000 floppy disks to fit these movies now yeah , what about a bootleg of the poorly filmed ?
Speaker 1uh , yeah , there's yeah , it's only if Walking in front of Steve yes .
Speaker 2So was somebody filming in the movies ? Yes , but only if it's burned onto a disc so you can still play it on a player .
Speaker 1Okay . So who is making a trip to Asia to get a pirated DVD ?
Speaker 2I'll go to Asia . You'll go to Asia . I'll go to Asia .
Speaker 3Just the whole continent , I mean you can go anywhere .
Speaker 1Asia , asia . I remember when I was in this is how long ago it was but when I was in Nepal , they had on the street corners they had guys that were selling bootlegged DVDs of the first Hobbit movie and it wasn't even in theaters yet .
Speaker 2Somehow they already had the bootleg . I'm guessing like the name was also incorrect to what the movie was .
Speaker 1No , it was spot on . It was spot on , but they , it's just like Hobbit colon Journey . Yeah , but I think that it released in China first , before it released in the United States . I think that's what it was , gotcha . That's why they were able to do it .
Speaker 2Alright , so are y'all ready to get started ? Okay , so I'm going to click start on this site . So our first movie up for grabs is Horizon An American Saga , chapter 2 . That doesn't have a release date . It does not have a release date . Isn't that straight to Netflix ? No , the first one was a release date . It does not have a release date . Isn't that straight to Netflix ? No , the first one was a release to theaters . It came out in theaters . Didn't you watch this movie , ashley ? The first one , the Western right , didn't you say you didn't like it ?
Speaker 3It was too many storylines
Bidding on First Wave of Films
Speaker 3, too much jumping around . The ending of the movie felt like it was a commercial for , or like a preview for , like a series , like a TV series . It didn't feel like a conclusion to the you know first movie , probably because they're planning on doing . How many of these was like three or four .
Speaker 2I think they were going to do at least two , so this is supposed to be the second one . So backstory on this movie . It was supposed to come out like a and it doesn't have a release date . So do we have any bidders on Horizon ?
Speaker 3American Saga , chapter 2 based on my extensive knowledge . No .
Speaker 1I think I watched the first one because it's a western right .
Speaker 3I love westerns , but no , it wasn't you do yeah what's your favorite western actor ? So you know aha . I was going to say I don't like traditional . My grandfather , my dad's dad , used to watch , like westerns , like the old ones . I , you know , I'm more like a . I like the modern western setting .
Speaker 1Like I don't know , I just like when people say yellowstone , we all know what you're talking about .
Speaker 3I mean like you just pull the guns out . You know , you know ppu cowboy versus aliens there you go .
Speaker 2yeah , all right , so no one's bidding on this , no , no . Okay , all right . So moving on , we're going to go for a release date of April 25th . Magic Farm Hard pass , hold on . Let me read the synopsis . Magic Farm is a media crew mistakenly ends up in the wrong country while trying to profile a musician . As they collaborate with locals to create a viral trend , relationships form amid an unfolding health crisis .
Speaker 3Yeah , there's a lot going on in that description .
Speaker 1Just move on to the surfer . So I can bid on it .
Speaker 2One point You're going to bid one point on Magic Farm . Okay , going once , going twice , sold to me for one point .
Speaker 1Ashley and I are both waiting for one specific thing .
Speaker 3We're like I'm going to bid all my points .
Speaker 2Anyways , all right , so that is my film . All right , alright . Magic Farm watch it .
Speaker 3Watch it like get an insane amount of revenue there's a strategy to this , because eventually you still have to have some .
Speaker 2You can still win based on just total number of oh also if whatever points you have left over goes to your overall total domestic in dollars . Oh really , so if you have one point left , that's $1 to your overall score , nice .
Speaker 3It puts you over the edge , you know .
Speaker 2I'm sure it does All right . So , starting with the first major real release of the summer , we have Thunderbolts , which is , after finding themselves and stared in a death trap , an unconventional team of antiheroes must embark on a dangerous mission that will force them to confront the darkest corners of their pasts . Question .
Speaker 1Yes , why is the Winter Soldier an antihero ? Because he totally fought against Thanos . But he was a villain , yeah , but then he became a good guy .
Speaker 3Yeah , he was brainwashed too . He wasn't really a villain villain , he was a super soldier brainwashed .
Speaker 2You can't hold it against him . One point .
Speaker 1One point Okay .
Speaker 3Two .
Speaker 1We got two , I'll bring it around to three .
Speaker 2I'll bid four .
Speaker 3Five .
Speaker 2Whoa Ten Eleven .
Speaker 3Twelve .
Speaker 2Fifteen . Oh my , I'm going to go with 18 . Going once 21 . You said it , yeah , 21 . 22 .
Speaker 1Wait , I get to keep these points if I lose right . Yes , okay , going once 23 .
Speaker 325 . Oh 26 . All right , you go ahead and have that .
Speaker 2Going what ? 27 . 27 . You can have it All right 27 points . Thunderbolts goes to Johnny for 27 points . Goodness .
Speaker 3At least 200 million , for sure , at least , or 150 .
Speaker 2I like how they can't see this , but it shows you paid 27 points for that and it's red . Ooh Like uh-oh , ruh-roh , all right , so should we keep reading ? Oh , the surfer doesn't even have a description I can click on . So the next movie is the surfer . Two points three points , four points five points , six points , seven points eight points nine .
Speaker 1I want it , but I also don't want to like go too hard . Ten points , ten points final be at 11 okay go for it .
Speaker 2Yes going once , going twice .
Speaker 111 points goes to me for the surfer I want to have faith in Nicolas Cage , but I don't even know what that is . I don't have enough .
Speaker 2It's a Nicolas Cage movie .
Speaker 1That's all we know it's a thriller , a Nicolas Cage thriller movie .
Speaker 3Okay .
Speaker 2Okay , shadow Force is the next movie which comes out on May 9th , and a strange couple with a bounty on their heads must go on the run with their son to avoid their former employer , a unit of shadow ops that has been sent to kill them . Oh , I read that weird . So adult spy kids . Okay , all right , start that one over , go ahead and you read it . Read this one , ashley .
Speaker 3An estranged couple with a bounty on their heads must go on the run with their son to avoid their former employer , a unit of shadow ops that has been sent to kill them .
Speaker 2That wasn't the worst reading that I did One point .
Speaker 1You can take it . I've already seen that movie before .
Speaker 3Yeah , I'm going to do three points .
Speaker 2You're doing three Mm-hmm . See , here's the thing is , just because you've seen it does not mean it's not going to make money .
Speaker 1No , I know , but .
Speaker 2Four points , five , six , seven .
Speaker 3You've seen it does not mean it's not going to make money . No , I know .
Speaker 2But four points , five , six , seven , eight ten points all right , you can have it .
Speaker 3Ashley on the board with her first movie ten points for shadow force I definitely didn't want to see that movie when I saw the preview because I know I've seen that movie 10 times . But somebody will go see it . Kerry Washington's in it , you know it'll make some money .
Speaker 1Who's the husband ? He looked familiar . I can't tell it's too far away . But it's .
Speaker 3I haven't . I don't know who that was actually . It's so blurry Shad something . It was actually so blurry Chad something . I don't know .
Speaker 2It's not the picture , he's just naturally blurry . My name is Pix , last name Zools Zool . All right , so the next movie is Fight or Flight . Fight or Flight . A mercenary takes on the job of tracking down a target on a plane , but must protect her .
Speaker 3Wait , leave a moment to read , please .
Speaker 2I don't know what's wrong with me today ? This comes out May 9th , by the way .
Speaker 3A mercenary takes on the job of tracking down a target on a plane , but must protect her when they're surrounded by people trying to kill both of them .
Speaker 1Okay , this sounds very familiar to Bullet Train . It probably is One point .
Speaker 3I don't even know who oh , that's the guy who was in that movie Josh Hartnett is . With Imelight Shyamalan right Two points . That narrows it down , Josh Hartnett , Josh Hartnett yeah , oh , the guy that was in Trap . Yeah , trap Isn't it . Is it Trap or Trapped ? I think it's Trap , whatever . Anyways , I got two points .
Speaker 2Three points , five , six . You do realize that if you don't bid on anything , you don't win , right ?
Speaker 3Yeah , yeah , yeah , okay , just making sure he bid on something .
Speaker 2I know he bought Thunderbolts .
Speaker 3That was a good purchase .
Speaker 2That is a good grab , that is a good grab .
Speaker 3I'm hoping hard for it .
Speaker 2Okay .
Speaker 3I'll do it . What were we at what point ? I don't remember I think you were at six . Start over .
Speaker 2One point I think I did bid six yes .
Speaker 3Okay , seven .
Speaker 2Eight .
Speaker 3I'm going to look at the rest of the things on this list Going once . Okay , nine .
Speaker 2Ten .
Speaker 3All right , you got it .
Speaker 2Yes , so going to me for ten points .
Speaker 3You only have 98 points , so it's kind of .
Speaker 2You know we're only what five down the list we skipped it yeah , I know , look at John there with 71 points and one movie .
Speaker 3Jairus has three movies .
Speaker 2I have one , johnny has one , so technically Jairus has one All right Going with the next Clown in a cornfield , A fading Midwestern town in which friends which oh , I'm awful at this , John , you get this one .
Speaker 1A fading Midwestern town in which friendo friendo the Clown , a symbol of bygone success , reemerges as a terrifying scourge .
Speaker 2It's a horror movie . It also comes out May 9th .
Speaker 1Clown in the Cornfield . I feel like it's the wrong time of year for a horror movie . Yeah .
Speaker 2Not only is it a horror movie . It's a horror movie that takes place during harvest season , type thing in the middle of May . So one point .
Speaker 1Two points . I'll do four points . I'll do six .
Speaker 3Seven .
Speaker 1Eight , nine .
Speaker 3Ten points .
Speaker 2Eleven .
Speaker 1Twelve points .
Speaker 2Thirteen , fifteen .
Speaker 3I'm out . I'm out , not on Frendo . I'm out . I'm out , not on Frendo , I'm sorry .
Speaker 2Frendo the Clown Clown in a Cornfield .
Speaker 3That might be the one .
Speaker 1It might be Everyone has that horror film itch at the beginning of May . I should have saved my points for the next one , for Juliet and Romeo , because I feel like that one Hold on now .
Speaker 2So you got 15 . 15 on Clown , clown on the Cornfield Goodness .
Speaker 3Yeah , then we have like 30 more .
Speaker 2Yeah , we have a lot more movies to go and John's almost out of money .
Speaker 3What do you ? Want me to do Everyone that .
Speaker 1I bid on . You guys were like , oh , let's do 12 . All right .
Speaker 2Next movie Juliet and Romeo . Go ahead , Ashley .
Speaker 3Based on the real story that inspired Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet follows the greatest love story of all time , set as an original pop musical . These are written terribly , but yeah .
Speaker 2One point .
Speaker 3Two points .
Speaker 2I'll do three points . I'm out Four .
Speaker 1You can have it .
Speaker 3Four points , yay , that's almost our lowest movie .
Speaker 2Yeah , I got Magic Farm for one .
Speaker 3That would be great . I mean , it's cheesy , it's you know , people like romance . I'm not a romance person , but hey .
Speaker 1I was going more for the pop musical deal on it yeah , all right I feel like people new friendship all right , here we go , starting off next friendship .
Speaker 3The next movie is friendship on may 9th a suburban dad falls hard for his charismatic new neighbor . 10 points oh , that's the funny one . Oh yeah , eleven points .
Speaker 1I got to save my points for some later runs .
Speaker 2I'm making sure .
Speaker 3I want to give him a chance . You're trying to run Johnny out of points .
Speaker 2No , just make . What did you say ? Eleven , yeah , eleven , fifteen , sixteen .
Speaker 3Seventeen , eighteen , nineteen , twenty , twenty , 16 . 17 . 18 19 20 .
Speaker 222 .
Speaker 323 .
Speaker 224 .
Speaker 325 .
Speaker 226 .
Speaker 3Okay , you got it , yes .
Speaker 2I'm really excited for this movie . I don't know if it's going to do well , but out of principle I want this movie . It looks so funny . It's Craig Robinson in Paul Rudd and it's like a comedy where , like Craig , Robinson Craig .
Speaker 1I thought it was .
Speaker 2Tim Robinson
Competition Heats Up: Superhero Movies
Speaker 2. Oh , sorry , you're right , it's Tim Robinson . I think his character in the movie's name is Craig . That's where I'm confused . So they like become friends and then just out of the blue , he kind of dumps them friendship wise , and now he's just like it's like a bro comedy , but like they're making out like a romance at the same time . But it's like it's like that weird twist on it . It looks very funny where he's like you can't just become my friend and they just dump me like that . Yeah , they're all sitting in a room and just start singing songs to one another and it's it's .
Speaker 3It's , it's really funny I just realized that johnny's is red because that's just the color of scientists I know , I realize that too . No , johnny's making poor decisions , hurry up , tomorrow is our next movie an insomniac musician encounters a mysterious stranger , leading to a journey that challenges everything he knows about himself .
Speaker 2This is that weekend movie . Yeah , I was going to say , oh , the weekend , the weekend's in it . I'll give it one point Two points .
Speaker 1I thought you meant like it's only going to be out for a weekend .
Speaker 2No , the Artist , the Weekend that comes out , may 16th , by the way , got it ? What'd you say , ashley ? I said two points . You got anything on that ? No , I'll do five . Six , alright , I'm done . Goes to Ashley for six points .
Speaker 3These little movies they might make as long as they make , you know , a hundred million each . I don't know . Wait , is it going to be profit or just revenue ?
Speaker 2Domestic profit , if I'm not mistaken . Okay , good .
Speaker 3These production budgets are wild for these movies these days All right .
Speaker 2Also now , May 16th . Final Destination Bloodlines . You want to read that one , John , I'll let you do all the horror movies .
Speaker 1Plagued by a reoccurring violent nightmare , a college student returns home to find the one person who can break the cycle and save her family from the horrific fate that inevitably awaits them . Six points I'm going to be honest . I'm not going to put anything on this one . It just doesn't catch me .
Speaker 2Seven Because it doesn't catch . You doesn't mean it doesn't catch others .
Speaker 1Yeah , but I'm saying , like you know , it's one of those . I mean , I'm not a big horror movie person , but it's one of those ones where it's like the concept sounds interesting , but I'll probably just wait until it comes out to watch it . You know what I mean ? Yeah .
Speaker 3So seven points , Seven , I'll go eight , I'll go 10 points .
Speaker 2I'll go 11 . 12 . I'm out . 12 points . Final Destination Bloodlines goes to Ashley . Let me just type in 900 .
Speaker 3there we're only 10 , and there's like at least 50 more . I think there's like 50 more movies . I don't know . We're doing like 10 movies through and we're like it's not , let me do it right .
Speaker 2Okay , there we go , all right . Next up Mission Impossible the Final Reckoning , part 2 . Right , 30 points . No , I'm just kidding .
Speaker 1No , I won't do that I don't even have 30 .
Speaker 2You have currently 56 . Oh okay , we're all relatively in the same ballpark here with points . Mission Impossible , the Final Reckoning . I will do 10 points , 11 . I'll do 20 points . What Wow ?
Speaker 321 .
Speaker 2I will do 25 in final offer . Wait , is this the first part or the second ?
Speaker 3part . I'm doing 26 points , 26 points 21 .
Speaker 1I will do 25 in final offer .
Speaker 3Wait is this the first part , or the second part I'm doing 26 points .
Speaker 126 points .
Speaker 2It sounds like you have some inside scoop on how good the first one did . It's a mission impossible .
Speaker 3Yeah , it's a final one too .
Speaker 1It's a 26 . I feel like they keep on saying this is the final one . You know what I ?
Speaker 3mean yeah , they've had several finales . I feel like Final one . You know what I mean ? Yeah , they've had several finales . I feel like so I got it . Yeah , you got it .
Speaker 226 points , well , john are you going to dip out on this one ? No , yeah , I'm not going to . So he's going to get 26 on Final Destination , the Final Reckoning Destination Bloodlines , mission Impossible 17 .
Speaker 3Boom 41 points right .
Speaker 2You are currently at 41 . Yes , ma'am , okay , all right . Lilo and Stitch , a lonely Hawaiian girl befriends a runaway alien , helping to heal her fragmented family .
Speaker 1One point Two points , three points .
Speaker 2Four , five , six , seven Going points , three points Four .
Speaker 3Five .
Speaker 2Six , seven Going once no .
Speaker 3Nine Ten .
Speaker 2Eleven .
Speaker 3All right , you got it yes .
Speaker 2What Twelve ? You didn't count it down . Oh sorry , I forgot you were still in here .
Speaker 3Oh , you're here .
Speaker 2Twelve you said Mm-hmm , you have it , I forgot you're still in here . Oh , you're here . 12 , you said Mm-hmm , you have it , I don't think it's going to do well .
Speaker 3It's going to make at least $500 million .
Speaker 1I think you won that bet I don't think it's going to do very good .
Speaker 3It's Lilo and Stitch and it's not like a live action with someone like the whole Rachel Zegler debacle . It's actually just what is . It is like that , but it's not a character or well-known actor like ray truce segler with a political opinion . It's actually just . I think we're fairly unknown actors , right and a good ip , so disney might be able to pull something out of there .
Speaker 1Good but I think when the lion king came out it did all right . I don't think a whole lot of the princess movies have done very well , but it's always because of that , it's because one of the actresses has to do something political and then it ruins people going to see it .
Speaker 2It might be a watchable movie , but it becomes unwatchable when the actions of the actors or actresses in the real world mess up your view on the film itself . Yeah , all right , the Last Rode itself . Yeah , all right , the Last Rodeo . There's no description . I can't click it . That is an Angel Studios film . So , john , quick , make up a plot for this movie .
Speaker 1So a well-to-do financial consultant lady goes home to visit family because her father is dying for a long weekend and she meets a man who's been helping around her family's farm and this man is also trying to become the next rodeo star and so she's thrown into . Does she give up her financial career to form a relationship and take care of her love , or forsake love and go back to a comfortable ? I have no idea .
Speaker 2I made all that up . All right , for that description I want three points back . You know what you give a description , then my description is one point .
Speaker 3Two points .
Speaker 2Three .
Speaker 3I'm going to let you have that .
Speaker 1John , I'm not going to bid on it because I haven't seen anything for it . I feel like if it's an Angel Studios , they would market it a little bit better if they were planning on it being good . Yeah , I mean it's three points .
Speaker 3There are 31 movies left and there are things like Jurassic Park , how to Train your Dragon , Fantastic Four .
Speaker 2Don't put ideas in people's heads . Now , Speaking of ideas in people's heads Karate Kid Legends .
Speaker 1That was the other reason why I didn't think that the rodeo was going to do it 31 more movies .
Speaker 2After kung fu prodigy Lee Fong relocates to New York City . Aka Jackie Chan , jackie Chan . He attracts unwanted attention from a local karate champion and embarks on a journey to enter the ultimate karate competition with the help of Mr Han and Daniel LaRusso . Mr Han is Jackie Chan oh .
Speaker 1It's giving off very much so . Street fighter vibes .
Speaker 2Yeah , that poster does look street fighter-y .
Speaker 3It looks good , I'll do one point .
Speaker 2I'll do two . It looks really good . I'm so sorry we're doing Bring Her Back currently .
Speaker 3Well , we already started . We can circle back to Bring Her Back .
Speaker 2No , we can't we have to do it in order , so we have to do Bring Her Back real quick , bring Her Back .
Speaker 3A brother and sister uncover a terrifying ritual at the secluded home of their new foster mother . Ew Looks crazy . Alright , I'm gonna pass on that one . Yeah , I'm just gonna pass on some of these . Some of these I'm just gonna pass Just strategically . I don't think there's enough .
Speaker 2Okay , just because it's so cheap , I'm going one point , two points , you can have it .
Speaker 3Can't let you have all the 1.1's . I mean , there's some strategy to this , not letting Jairus get everything if it's just revenue .
Speaker 2I don't have that many right now . I think you have the most one . No , I have like five one , two , three , four , five , six yeah , you have more than me , no you have six , one , two , three , four , five , six . Yes , one , two , three , four , five , six . I have one , two , three , four , five . Oh , john has three .
Speaker 3All right , then my strategy is to have the most .
Speaker 2All right now , karate kid . One point , you're going . One point , two points , okay , three , four , five , six , ten .
Speaker 3Whoa Jeez Eleven Twelve .
Speaker 2All right , okay , you want to go . No , you got it . The reason why I'm excited on that is if all the movies that weekend which also that was May 30th , it's like the other two is Bring Her Back and this next one , so it's like that's the big one , so I'm not too upset .
Speaker 1I don't know , this next one could be pretty good .
Speaker 2Go ahead and read us what the physician scheme is .
Speaker 3The Phoenician scheme ? Yeah , the Phoenician . Oh , I'm sorry .
Speaker 2I have to lean in . I'm supposed to have better glasses . I wear glasses and I'm still blind .
Speaker 1The story of a family and a family business . That's
Major Studio Releases Strategy
Speaker 1it . That's it . No points Skipping , I'm skipping that , I'll take it for one point .
Speaker 2Okay , lock me in , we'll let you have that one for one point Beam me up , Scotty Watch that be the biggest movie of the year .
Speaker 3Yeah , can we do a points check ?
Speaker 2Yeah , real quick . So points check right now I have 35 . Ashley , you have 39 . And Johnny has 43 points currently .
Speaker 3Okay .
Speaker 2I feel like we're probably doing a little bad right now on points yeah there's like 29 left , I think , but it's okay .
Speaker 3Okay , that's fine . Want to read the Ruse .
Speaker 2What a quiver . Whoa the Ruse . Go ahead and read the Ruse , which comes out June 6th . June 6th , One day after the release of the Switch 2 .
Speaker 3An in-home caregiver fears for her life after being assigned to a mysterious elderly patient in a remote seaside home .
Speaker 2Oh , one of these .
Speaker 1Why does the poster look like the exorcism ?
Speaker 2I thought that too , that like a mixture with hey no .
Speaker 1Sorry what I clicked on . I thought I clicked on the ruse , but I clicked on the ritual oh which is coming up ? Okay , oh which is coming up , okay , yeah , that's coming up , never mind Disregard .
Speaker 2Well , this one kind of looks like the woman in black . Well , she is wearing black on the poster . Yeah , all right the ruse . Anybody want the ruse .
Speaker 3Do one point .
Speaker 2I'll do two points .
Speaker 3Three .
Speaker 2Are you going to do anything ? Are you just going to cook ? I don't know .
Speaker 3He asked you , Johnny .
Speaker 2Well , he's not saying anything , going once , going twice . You said three points . Yes , three points to Ashley the ruse Dangerous animals .
Speaker 3I can read it when Zephyr , a savvy and free-spirited surfer , is abducted by a shark-obsessed serial killer and held captive on his boat , she must figure out how to escape before he carries out a ritualistic feeding to the sharks below .
Speaker 2I remember this trailer too . It looks weird .
Speaker 3Yeah , it looks interesting .
Speaker 2I don't think it should go any higher than one point , one point .
Speaker 1If anyone bets more than one point , you're a weirdo . Gosh this guy Going one , I'll go for two .
Speaker 2See what happens . You'll go for two . See what happens .
Speaker 1John back out here on the game Getting it locked in Right , locked in Three , two , one it's mine , three points .
Speaker 2Oh come on , you just did three , two , one . You didn three points . Oh , come on , just did three , two one . You didn't . He did three , two , one . I'm the auctioneer . Okay , fine , take it for three points . It's you're going once , going twice no , I'm just kidding . So you do want to bid ?
Speaker 3no , okay , three points to me for one movie that probably won't do well there are tons of good movies , or better known ips , on this list , like literally like seven of them looking at right now . So so I don't know .
Speaker 2Alright , the Ritual . Go ahead and read that one , John . What is that picture ?
Speaker 1That's what I'm saying . It looks like it's something . It looks like they're trying to take off from the exorcist .
Speaker 2I see what you mean . I thought you meant the Amityville whore is because of the house . That's what I thought you meant . Okay , sorry , go ahead .
Speaker 1Two priests , one in crisis with his faith and the other confronting a turbulent past , must overcome their differences to perform a risky exorcism .
Speaker 2What comes out that weekend too . Yeah , I'm skipping on this one , You're skipping .
Speaker 3Yeah , I'll skip that . I'm going to skip too , based on what's coming up next . So I'll skipping on this one . You're skipping . Yeah , I'll skip that . Yeah , I'm going to skip too . That's based on what's coming up next .
Speaker 1So I'll get it for one . I'll do one point , I guess All right , go ahead .
Speaker 2You take the demon-possessed movie . Oh , come on . Why do you got to do it that way ? Johnny gets the demon movie . For one point it's probably going to do well . It's a horror movie . Well , the reason why I don't think it's going to do well is Ballerina . So that comes out June 6th as well . I'll read this one An assassin trained in the traditions of the Ruska Roma organization sets out to seek revenge after her father's death . I'll give that five points .
Speaker 1Wow , is that a spinoff from the John Wick movie ?
Speaker 2That's a John Wick spinoff movie ? Yes , Six points .
Speaker 3Wow , they really get you at 98 points . They really do Crazy .
Speaker 2What'd you say ?
Speaker 3Six .

Speaker 1You are like man , I'm a girl , let me have the ballerina movie . I know right , let me have that movie .
Speaker 2It looks really good because Keanu Reeves is in it .
Speaker 3Yeah that's why I'm like okay , yeah , it is a some quality there , because you know Keanu Reeves , he cares . Wasn't it like I think , I was I don't know if you said it , Jairus , or I was watching something where Keanu Reeves charged for every word he said in the movie , so that they would have to like carefully pick the like , make sure that they didn't overdo his character . Yeah , like make him say too much . He basically had a premium word , so they cut it down . So that it was , you know .
Speaker 2That's pretty smart , only something Keanu Reeves could get away with doing .
Speaker 3Yeah .
Speaker 2I mean , I don't understand you . That's the next movie coming out May 6th Sorry , june 6th .
Speaker 3Stranded in rural Italy without transportation or language skills , an American couple on the verge of adopting tries to reconnect during a disastrous vacation , as their fears and relationship problems threaten to boil over . I'm going to pass .
Speaker 1It didn't really stand out to me . Yeah , pass Okay .
Speaker 2Our second skip movie how to Train your Dragon 15 points . It is an ancient threat and endangers both Vikings and dragons alike . On the Isle of Berk , the friendship between Hiccup , an inventive Viking , and Toothless , a night-feary dragon , becomes the key to both species forging a new future together . 15 points , 16 points 17 .
Speaker 118 . 20 .
Speaker 3Probably the biggest movie 21 . 25 , 26 jeez 28 okay , yeah , yeah , okay I mean , this is the thing about this one , though , like , and the only thing that's controversial about is that they , you know , change the um race of what's the name , the girl character , edith , edith , and people , you know , mad about that . What's their name ?
Speaker 2Gertrude , gertrude or something like that . What's the female's name ? Hiccup's wife Hiccup .
Speaker 1Oh yeah , I feel like it's Gertrude .
Speaker 3Let me see it's Astrid , astrid , you were both wrong . Woo , astrid Hofferson .
Speaker 1Okay , oh , who's she played by ? No , astrid Hofferson . No , I know who she . I know , that's the character's name . I'm saying who's the actress .
Speaker 3Oh , the person that's playing her in the movie , or the voice actor . Originally I looked at the voice . Apparently is America Ferreira did the voice for Astrid . Wow , I had no idea the new actor her name is . She's the daughter of another famous actress . She's biracial , but dang , why can't I find her name ? I just pictures keep coming up .
Speaker 1Like , what are the two kinds of like cross country and swimming , or ?
Speaker 3Caldeca 500, . Etona , black and white like European , I think her father's like European peeing on what ?
Speaker 1European on what ?

Speaker 3I feel like I've heard oh , that's a matchmaker's lucrative business is complicated when she falls into a toxic luck triangle that threatens her clients . Comes out June 13th , it has Pedro Pascal in it and Dakota .
Speaker 2Fanny .
Speaker 3No , not the other one that played in Fifty Shades of Grey . I think her name's Dakota or something like that . I might be wrong Pass .
Speaker 1I'm probably going to pass too . Sounds like she's . What did I do ? One point she's put herself into a niche .
Speaker 3I'll do one point for that one .
Speaker 1You got anything on that ? No , I'm not going to put any points on a risque film like Ashley Ashley's going to put one point .
Speaker 3That's what she thinks I'm putting one point for Pedro Pascal .
Speaker 2Pedro's worth one point . All right . Next movie Bride Hard . There's no description on this one . Oh , that sounds .
Speaker 3I don't know Dakota Johnson . That's who it was .
Speaker 1I'm going to hold off . I've got one that I got my eye on , that one .
Speaker 2I'm waiting , I'm waiting , got it . Oh , by the way , bride Hard comes out June 20th . Okay , Elio's next right , oh no , we're waiting on you .
Speaker 3Oh , no , no , no . I thought we were moving on past that , so .
Speaker 2Bride . Hard one point for Johnny , no . So everybody's passing on it . Everybody's passing on it , all right , all right , elio . That's the new Pixar film . That's the one where the kid wants to get abducted , right .
Speaker 3Right , right , I'll do one point . Why did you ?
Speaker 2laugh at that .
Speaker 1Because the kid wants to be adopted , abducted . That's what I said . You did a hybrid of that and adopted .
Speaker 2I want children to be adopted , not abducted . That's right , except , yeah , elio wants to be abducted .
Speaker 3By aliens . You're missing . The B Abducted , you're saying abducted , is aliens . You're missing . The B Abducted , you're saying abducted .
Speaker 2Is anybody going to bid on this , or what ?

Speaker 1It doesn't scream Pixar heavy hitter to me .
Speaker 2You said one point right .
Speaker 3Mm-hmm , okay , and point check again .
Speaker 1Just want to get my . That was your last point . That was it . You're done . I'm just kidding .
Speaker 2I think I have 23 or 22 . So right now I have four points . I knew that I was like Ashley has 23 and Johnny

Speaker 2Gee Place bid Done Now F1 . All right , that is a Brad Pitt movie .
Speaker 3Oh , it's Brad Pitt . Oh , actually I did like that one . It's coming out June 27th . A Formula One driver comes out of retirement to mentor and team with a young driver .
Speaker 1I'll do one point . I'll do one point . Is Brad Pitt the retired one coming out of retirement or is he the young driver ? He's the old driver , Okay got it .
Speaker 2Two points . Why are you bidding two points on your one ? You said one point . You said one first . I was just messing with you oh okay one , Then one yeah , john , no , no , no , yeah , no , no , all right , jeez , ashley's getting F1 for one F point .
Speaker 1Yeah , Ashley likes the race movies .
Speaker 3I think I like them but , I think I mean you got to pick for , okay , brad Pitt . You know that brings people to the box office .
Speaker 2You know , you know who doesn't bring people to the box office . Buy race movies . Little robot girls . Megan 2.0 . What ? Or ? Mithrigan 2.0 .
Speaker 3Comes out June 27th , two years after Megan's rampage , her creator , gemma , resorts to resurrecting her infamous creation in order to take down Amelia , the military gray weapon who was built by a defense contractor who stole Megan's underlying tech . That sounds like a great plot . One point , two points .

Speaker 2I know , but I don't like Jurassic Park , even though the movies are not good are some of the highest grossing movies of all time .
Speaker 3Jurassic World was terrible . I hated all three movies but it makes money .
Speaker 19 points it makes so much money 10 points so much money you're also forgetting that she doesn't have a lot of points left .
Speaker 3I'm glad I have that for 10 points . He may win , but there's other ones that at least want to try to win .
Speaker 2Okay , so John gets Jurassic World Rebirth . I don't think it's going to be a good movie , but I do think it's going to make money .

Speaker 2The human way , not the American way anymore , because it used to be the American way . They had to change it , I guess .
Speaker 3Okay , one point .
Speaker 2Four points .
Speaker 1Do we all ? Five Do we all ?
Speaker 3Six points , by the way .
Speaker 1Weird that an alien embodies the human way .
Speaker 3Yeah , that was the first thing that stood out said that to me really , and that's considered old-fashioned by humans .
Speaker 1That's so bizarre like we're too progressive to make it the american way anymore , but we're not good enough to say the universal way .
Speaker 2Well , no , I'm just saying like we're all so bad that we need an alien to represent the human way Right , because his old catch line is for truth , justice and the American way was what it used to be .
Speaker 1It doesn't do well in China box office .
Speaker 2I guess not , so what ?
Speaker 1I was at six points , yeah , so she's got it for six . You're going to give up ?
Speaker 2Superman for six . Yeah , just making sure you can get it .

Speaker 1I thought that was Paddington when I first saw that Because you said there's no kid movies .
Speaker 3I think I read that , that as Paddington , because I'm like , oh , there's one .

Speaker 2The problem is , for some reason this is showing the Toxic Avengers , the last one , and I know that's not the last movie on this list .
Speaker 3That's what was in my list that you sent me in text message . Yeah , really . Oh , no , you're right . No , it actually has like 10 more movies the Conjuring , the Last Rite . Yeah , there's several ones after that .
Speaker 2So let's keep playing . Maybe they'll come through at the end .
Speaker 3Which we'll go out of points at that point .
Speaker 2If we don't come in , we'll just stop at the Toxic Adventure and move in this after that comes out . Yeah , the only good one . So we got the Fantastic Four , which is a Marvel movie , go .
Speaker 3One point .
Speaker 2You're not going to bid two points on it . I'll bid two points on the Fantastic Four Three points .
