Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and as we gather to celebrate gratitude, we're setting the stage for a season filled with warmth, laughter, and maybe a little controversy. Ever wondered why we stuff turkeys? Or why pumpkin spice lattes sparked a flavor revolution without actual pumpkins? Get ready to gobble up some juicy tidbits as we navigate the quirky side of holiday staples, including a deep-dish debate on whether stuffing qualifies as a casserole. Plus, we're giving a shoutout to Dilon's musical talents, with his song "Fix Us" being the perfect backdrop to your Thanksgiving prep.
Beyond the feast and festivities, we're tackling some thought-provoking topics that might just stir more than your mashed potatoes. Explore the ethical maze of selective breeding in the food industry—are we turning our chickens into couch potatoes? From natural selection to genetic modification, we'll uncover how these practices impact both our plates and our health. And just when you thought it was safe to carve your turkey, we're throwing in a little holiday season skepticism with a side of alien possibilities and COVID vaccine debates.
As we wrap up, we're serving a platter of historical insights, challenging the traditional narratives surrounding Thanksgiving. Join us as we humorously dissect the myth of harmonious pilgrim dinners and share stories of Native American relations that history books often gloss over. In a twist of fate, we'll even examine the public's response to potential extraterrestrial neighbors—think Thanksgiving meets sci-fi! Finally, we reflect on the joy of podcasting and express gratitude for our listeners, hoping to become a part of your cherished holiday memories. Speaker 2I don't think so I mean besides , you know the obvious , like pray for you friday , yeah , pray for you friday . And then make sure to like , comment and share the show .
Speaker 1We do have a comment from last week's episode . Wow , really , yeah , we really really do . Who is it ? It was from Bryson and he really liked my reference , my Barbara Manatee reference .
Speaker 2Bryce , we love you and your feedback golden , Just glorious . It's absolutely wonderful .
Speaker 1I'm going to give a little peek behind the curtain . This is the closest we are from recording to release ever yeah .
Speaker 1This recording on a Wednesday and the episode will come out Monday . Yep , we are one week away from Thanksgiving . One week away from Thanksgiving , from no today , yeah , today . And then for you listening at home , the earliest three days , yep , so you better be ready . Got that turkey bought , because you're probably not going to be able to get it now , yep , and I guess . So it's not really like an announcement , but all of december we will be doing christmas themed . So next week's episode , episode 12 , we'll start our christmas , instead of spooky season , our joyous season , joyful season , joyful season maybe , and maybe we'll do .
Speaker 2Uh , watch alongalong .
Speaker 1Do you want to do a live stream during the month of December to watch along a Christmas movie ? Is that what you're saying ? Yeah , that's what I'm saying . Okay , perfect , all right , I guess we're going to leave it up to the audience then .
Speaker 2Yeah , yeah .
Speaker 1So I think what we'll do is , on Facebook or one of the platforms somewhere , create a poll of some kind , yeah , or just really just comment what movie you want to watch along with us .
Speaker 2Yeah , die Hard , you know Die .
Speaker 1Hard , it's going to be Die Hard . Yeah , no , the real answer is Elf . If no one comments , we're watching Elf , the best Christmas movie . Okay , yeah , that's true .
Speaker 2True fact . We're already going to have to watch it like two different times .
Speaker 1Now it's going to be three .
Speaker 2Now it's going to be three .
Speaker 1I'm so excited Christmas season I'm going to be putting up my tree this weekend . It's a little baby tree , it's like a five-foot tree .
Speaker 2We're actually going to get our tree this weekend too . That's right .
Speaker 1You do live trees . We do a live tree every year . We go to a tree farm and we cut it down and we bring it home and but that's uh , that's going to be uh , next week's um , you know season , next week starts the joyous season , but this week we're in the thankful season , that's right . Uh , real quick , I want to say I'm thankful for dylan . Yeah , dude , yeah , that song . If you haven't gone and listened to it yet , go back . It is titled bonus song .
Speaker 1The song is called fix you by Dylan . No , fix us and fix you . We all need to be fixed . No , I'm good , I'm good , fix you'm good , fix you . No , it's Fix Us by Dylan . You sent that over to me and I put together that bonus episode and I listened to that song so many times . It's so good , it's such a good song . It is a good song . So , if you're not in the loop , dylan , our guest from last week , um , is an artist . Episode 10 , episode 10 and uh , he let a joy , uh , generously allowed us to debut one of his songs . So go out , listen to it and just give it a like and share it , because it is it's really good .
Speaker 2Yeah , yeah , and we'll have a um . We'll have a link to his instagram for his music when he go and check him out when he gets it .
Speaker 1I don't think he has any right he's got it up now ?
Speaker 2oh , he does have it up , just doesn't have anything on it right now , as of us speaking , but it's one of those things where he's starting to roll out his music online . So , as you know , he grows , it will grow , yeah , so it's just a good thing to follow so that eventually , when he does come out with more music , you'll be in the loop . Yeah , that'll be the place to get it .
Speaker 1So , yeah , we'll , we'll uh have a nice little link to that , and then also we can uh retroactively also have a link to it . On the previous episode too . Yeah , it'll be everywhere . We love dylan , we love dylan . We'll have him back soon his music's great .
Speaker 2Yeah , I mean , he could yeah he'll be .
Speaker 1I like how you're like I don't know he might come back . Yeah , no , I am making executive decision . He , he will be back for episode 110 .
Speaker 2And , if you guys don't know , he is a part of another podcast so you could go give his podcast a listen . They do more like , I guess , bible-focused stuff in their podcast . It's a podcast that their church puts out , gotcha , so it revolves more around church , that that specific church stuff , or just church stuff well , I don't really know .
Speaker 2I've only listened to one of their episodes and they kind of talked about themselves . So but it sounds like they're trying to get into , like they're trying to get into theology and scripture reading and different stuff like that so what is that ? Podcast called . I don't have it off the top of my head , I'll have to look it up .
Speaker 1The podcast is called Insert Podcast Name here .
Speaker 2Yeah , exactly , and now I'm going to look for it . But yeah , he's a part of the podcast . He's starting to put his music out .
Speaker 1And I like to think that you know we're the ones who gave him the start , midway Young .
Speaker 2Adults Podcast .
Speaker 1Midway .
Speaker 2Young Adults Podcast that's what it's called . They've got two episodes out right now .
Speaker 1Two . I remember when we were two . Yep , let's see if they make it past five . Yeah , oh they will . They'll make it .
Speaker 2We'll celebrate when they do , but they make it past five . Yeah , oh they will . They'll make it . We'll celebrate when they do , mm-hmm , but anyways , how have you been , jers ?
Speaker 1I've been great . Are you thankful ? I'm very thankful , okay .
Speaker 2Let's go ahead , I Sorry , go ahead .
Speaker 1Went on a trip .
Speaker 2Do you want to talk about that or do you want to get into our Thanksgiving ?
Speaker 1stuff , stuff . First , are you saying do you want to not talk about that and let's actually stay on topic or get off topic ? No , I was thinking about it because , um , I went to , uh , to a disney park . Yeah , I had kind of a disney trip . I was thinking about , maybe I was having , because you're about to go on a trip as well , let's have a theme park episode . Heck , yeah , so we'll have a theme park episode that might . Yeah , so we'll have a theme park episode that might be somewhere in the lull of the joyful season .
Speaker 2Well , I mean because Disney is notorious for doing crazy decorations in all their parks for Christmas .
Speaker 1All right , tune in on episode 13 for the joyful episode , there you go . Sorry , the joyful episode , there you go . Sorry , the Disney episode or theme park episode .
Speaker 2We'll do theme park because we can talk about decorations and stuff .
Speaker 1And we'll talk about our trips . Yeah , yeah , but I went to California and you're going to go to Florida , right , yep .
Speaker 2I'm going to Disney World . You went to Disneyland , that's correct .
Speaker 1And now our feature presentation . Anyways . So that was a little preview of an episode coming up , episode 13 . Episode 13 in a couple weeks . But that's not what we're doing today . That's not what we're doing today . What are we ?
Speaker 2doing today ? Today , we are going to be talking about how thankful we are , how wonderful it is to live in America , where we can be thankful for the greatest thing of all turkeys . That was awful , you do it .
Speaker 1There we go . There's something wrong with the board . I see that you press it and there's like a good two second delay yeah , it's delayed .
Speaker 2I don't know . I don't know why it's doing that there . It is okay . Just what's your favorite thanksgiving food ?
Speaker 1I dropped my hat , sorry , um , I don't know . I I really like turkey . I know that sounds kind of basic and cliched on it . I like turkey . I like the . I think I'll just enjoy . It's vanilla and that's fine . I also One of my favorite ice cream flavors is vanilla . That's okay . People always are like vanilla . So basic Vanilla's a flavor , guys , vanilla's original , I mean always are like vanilla that's so basic .
Speaker 2Like vanilla is a flavor , guys , vanilla is original . That's what I mean . That's how I look at it .
Speaker 1Vanilla is original vanilla is just a is a flavor . It's not like a basic whatever . It's another flavor on the list of flavors , yeah , but anyways , um , just the dinner in general is really good to me yeah I used to not . There's a lot of stuff I used to not like and then , over time , ended up really just liking the dinner . In general , I used to be weird with food where I didn't like . I would refuse to eat food if it looked gross , and it was usually something that was like mushy .
Speaker 1So mushy . What's that thing that your sister makes every year at the farm ? It's like bacon jalapeno .
Speaker 2Jalapeno poppers , but instead of them being breaded , they're wrapped in bacon . They're always so good . Yeah , it's just that's what it is . I mean , it's just jalapeno poppers , so it's got the cream cheese and like cheddar cheese inside a jalapeno wedge , and then they wrap it in bacon and then they put it on a smoker rather than deep fry . It's so's so good , it's so good , yeah .
Speaker 1So I hate that I'm going to have to miss that this year .
Speaker 2It's okay , but you know We'll think of you and we'll send you pictures .
Speaker 1Thanks .
Speaker 2Thanks , yeah , last year they did smoked deviled eggs .
Speaker 1Yeah , that was something I was going to bring up . That was the one food that was always made . I just like . Not only did I find it gross , I was like , oh no , it's delicious , try it . And they forced me to eat it and I threw up it was deviled eggs and now I'll eat them . I actually like them . It was last year for the first time since I was a child and threw up eating it , and I tried it again Last year , last year , from when I was six . Gee , that's how traumatized I was . Like you have to eat it , You've got to try it . It's so good .
Speaker 2Now where , at your families , or at my family's ?
Speaker 1At my family's . Okay , and what's funny is the person who had made them and I threw up eating them is the same recipe in person . I tried it again . I'm like you know what ? It's been 30 years . Let me try them .
Speaker 2That's funny .
Speaker 1They're okay , they're all right .
Speaker 2Yeah , well , the only reason I made that like clarification was because , like , there's like six different kinds of boiled deviled eggs that my families get together .
Speaker 1Yeah , and I would also assume that because it's at the farm that they're natural eggs as well .
Speaker 2It depends on who makes them . Yeah , true , because some people they . Okay , it's like 40 to 50 people that come every year , and so it's like if it's anyone in my family or that lives out at the farm , then it's probably eggs from the chickens , but anybody else that doesn't have chickens , then they're just store-bought eggs ?
Speaker 1More than likely , yes , so very expensive eggs from the store , premium price eggs . I get my eggs for free because I raise chickens . I pay more than people buy at the store because of feed Sure , but you also get a lot of eggs .
Speaker 2so sometimes right now , I get like three a day what's ?
Speaker 1what's a good average ? Three today , a dozen maybe .
Speaker 2Well , I've got right now I've got 16 hens and you're getting three . I'm only getting two to three a day now , given four of those are pullets , which means they're like teenagers they haven't started laying eggs yet . Um , we got them at the beginning of this year , like in the spring , so you know , all the other hens . They've just kind of slowed down for the year so they're not every hen is laying every day .
Speaker 1What is the peak Like , what is the ? I guess the return time on a grazing a chicken for meat , like from hatching to ready to be , you know , butchered . Butchered , yes , that was the phrase I was looking for .
Speaker 2Um like 10 to 12 weeks .
Speaker 1Oh , okay , so very short , very short turnaround because most meat birds you don't .
Genetics and Effects of Selective Breeding
Speaker 2ironically , you don't want them to get too big , so you want to kind of butcher them at the right size .
Speaker 1What happens when they're too big ?
Speaker 2I guess it's not necessarily it's a bad thing , but when they get too big guess it's not necessarily it's a bad thing , but when they get too big they won't move at all , and so that could cause some sort of you know , an unwanted disease or something like that , because they're just in their own filth and they can't move around . So it kind of starts becoming a little inhumane if they're just sitting down all day in their own filth and keep on feeding them to get them fatter and fatter but you're talking about chickens that are being raised to be butchered yeah , these are birds .
Speaker 2That their their genes , like the genetics of the bird , is for them to grow quickly and get big that sounds , it's like the idea behind that .
Speaker 1Right , I'm not like a you know pita type person , but just like the thing , the thought of that lifestyle .
Speaker 2Somebody just is bred to be fat and it sounds awful yeah , well , and you got to think about it , because people there's there's genetic modification and then there's selective breeding . So there are some birds that are genetically modified to become really big really quick , and those are the ones that are packed in with different kinds of hormones and synthetic drugs and all these other things . And then there's birds that they've crossbred different breeds and over time , over time , they take those crossbreds and crossbred and so they get the genetics that they want to where it's a bird that gets big . And I mean , you see that really , you do kind of see that in nature , over time animals do adapt to their environment . Certain genetics come to the forefront and become really predominant in order for survival and some get pushed to the back . So when humans get involved and they start a breeding program where they're selecting preferred genetics that naturally occur in the animals , they keep those and they cultivate those and then they try to discard or get rid of any unwanted genetics , so like if you're breeding two birds right .
Speaker 1You're not going to breed in the bird that is sickly skinny and never grew . You're going to be breeding in the ones that are getting large , and that's just essentially what you're saying is be breeding in the ones that are getting large if you and that's just a net , it's essentially what you're saying is that you're you get the same outcome , but one is better because you don't have chemicals involved one is one is natural and it naturally happens , yeah , and the other one is forced so , and that that comes back to all things .
Speaker 2I mean , that's how we grow trees , how we grow other plants for food or or for other resources , like you take the plants that do well , are hardy in certain environments and climates , yield high percentages , uh , and just overall , on our resilient to um disease and pests . You take those plants and you take the seeds from them and replant , and then the best seeds from the next generation , from the best stuff , and you just , over time , you get a really good plant . So it works both ways and it's just . That's how it's supposed to be done , right , but that takes time . That takes years and generations of animals to get to where you want to be but sure .
Speaker 1But when you get your prized chicken you're going to keep that generation if you work into , work hard to get it right , I mean . But these companies , these huge factories , are not looking for that . They're looking to get them out growing fast and get them out fast and selling fast yeah , it's not a hundred percent turnover .
Speaker 2When you do it the natural way , like there are some setbacks with different generations and different breedings , so it takes time . But if you manipulate with artificial things you can decrease that percentage of setback . Yeah , but it's also unhealthy . Yeah , I mean it's starting to show how unhealthy messing with our food has become , because look at specifically our country in America and how obese our general population has become . Yeah , and it's just because we've taken our food and we have heavily sedated it with pesticides , gmos and these other harmful things just to optimize the yield .
Thanksgiving Food and Pumpkin Spice Controversy
Speaker 1So , anyways , what's your favorite Thanksgiving food ?
Speaker 2So I'm not going to lie and I don't know why this is , but I really like the green bean casserole .
Speaker 1I don't . I never really have personally .
Speaker 2Yeah , I don't know why , because it's nothing special , but I enjoy that and I enjoy the . There's always someone who makes a potato and cheese casserole and it's just potatoes , cheese and then crackers mixed all together and baked . That's pretty good too . So I guess I'm a casserole guy . Is what I'm getting at .
Speaker 1I do like stuffing . Is that counted as a casserole ? Not really , is it .
Speaker 2Well , I guess people cook it in a casserole dish sometimes . But yeah , some people I mean they truly do put it inside the turkey . They cook it still .
Speaker 1No one in my family does that I've never actually in my life had it actually in the turkey myself . Is that good that drink ? Is that told you ?
Speaker 2what do you think is the number one expected food that people will consume ?
Speaker 1on thanksgiving . On thanksgiving , I'm gonna say turkey , it's got to be turkey , right ? Yeah , 70% ? I mean , that's kind of an odd . What do you think is number two ? I'm going to say it's either going to be stuffing or I'm trying to think what it's called . I'm blanking on it . It's the jello type stuff , it's purple . Oh , cranberries , cranberry sauce .
Speaker 2Cranberry sauce . No , it's mashed potatoes .
Speaker 1Oh , okay .
Speaker 2And then it's pie . It's convenient that they don't specify what kind of pie .
Speaker 1What pie ? It's usually , I think , a pumpkin pie . Pumpkin pie is the go-to for Thanksgiving .
Speaker 2I know for us another staple is pecan pie .
Speaker 1I love pecan pie . That's probably one of my favorite baked desserts . It's so good .
Speaker 2You know what ? I'm going to be the wacko and I'm going to go out on the limb and say I prefer the pecan pie that doesn't have the corn syrup for the base . What do you mean by that ? Like the base inside the pie pie ? Like that kind of like ? Jelly , jelly stuff really that's yeah , that's the bit it's like so what you like is so .
Speaker 1You like the pie , pie crust and some just pecans is what you're saying no , no , like you can make it with .
Speaker 2you can make it with stuff other than corn syrup . It's just , most people make it with corn syrup , like what you can do brown sugar and maple syrup and mix it together with pecans . My wife does it with pumpkin base , so she does a pumpkin .
Speaker 1It's a pumpkin spice pecan pie .
Speaker 2No , because there's no spice in it . It's literally just pumpkin pumpkin isn't pumpkin spice , just that , just pumpkin flavoring type stuff it's just a mixture of spices that you would use in a pumpkin pie pie yeah it's been hijacked for um .
Speaker 1Uh , white women going to starbucks , yeah , yep , yep , but yeah , my yeah .
Speaker 2So she normally does that every year . She does pecans mixed in with the pumpkin I think um wendy's has a new frosty .
Speaker 1I think it's a pumpkin spice . Uh , frosty they have right now is it actual pumpkin , though ?
Speaker 2because that starbucks got in trouble for that ? Oh really , yeah . What happened ? Pumpkin spice latte doesn't have pumpkin . It has a dye in it to make it look orange .
Speaker 1Yeah , here's your orange dye drink .
Speaker 2Got it and like the dye had like I think it was like formaldehyde in it or something like that .
Speaker 1Oh my gosh , Something crazy . So , yeah , going back to what we're being fed is killing us . Yeah , and go to .
Speaker 2Going back to what we're being fed is killing us , yeah .
Speaker 1Go to Johnny's house if you want to eat healthy .
Speaker 2Yeah Well , we don't always eat healthy .
Speaker 1Sure , but I'm wrong . It was even better . It's a salted caramel frosty . Ooh , that sounds so good . Sounds better than that pineapple SpongeBob frosty . Yeah , that's gone now . That's so good . Sounds better than that pineapple Spongebob Frosty . Yeah , that's gone now . That was not great . It was vanilla and gross .
Speaker 2It was just vanilla , yeah , and then you had turdy acidic juice , right , but okay . So this is what's crazy about the pumpkin spice latte . They got caught and basically like , uh , got , I don't , it's not audited . But basically it was like , hey , you need to change it . You can't have that in the drink , because or you've got to put on the label that that's what's in the drink , because that's what the issue was is they weren't , they didn't put on the label what the dye was or what the coloring was so .
Speaker 1But so what ? Initiated the um investigation that it didn't taste like pumpkin spice . So then everybody's like this isn't ? Oh some ?
Speaker 2people actually looked into it and brought it forward and it got enough of a following that , like the government got involved
Thanksgiving Food Industry Insights
Speaker 2. But what's funny is Starbucks knows that and in certain countries they already have an alternative .
Speaker 1Oh , so they were just trying to pull one over on us , yeah .
Speaker 2Like in some European countries , they have to use carrot , carrot based to be able to get the coloring . But in the United States .
Speaker 1It's stupid . So , um , um , you know what country is super strict on false advertising in general when it comes to their food ? Germany , japan , japan . So when we were there , the ? Um , they have an entire industry that makes modeled food , like your plate of food , to be displayed outside of restaurants to say what you see here is what you're getting , and it would be an entire plastic model of your dish because they're so strict on false advertising . On false advertising , yeah . So essentially , there is like if you are shopping or eating in Japan , if you say , oh , that looks like a lot of food or not a lot of food , but it'll be different .
Speaker 1No , what you're looking at what you get and it'd be a case outside the restaurant with all these different everything on their menu on plates , and it'd be plastic plates , like our sorry plastic fake food . You can tell it's fake food , but like apparently there's a whole industry that they make these models for restaurants to say this is my food , this is what you're going to get , and everywhere we went you got exactly what you were looking at when you were ordering . Wow , so that's fantastic . I don't know if you can pick up on it . Japan was a fantastic place to go , yeah , oh my god , everything about it . But I think the problem with it is it was fantastic with an american budget going in to travel there . Yeah , if you live there , it's difficult because the yen is worth less than the American dollar . Yeah , so that exchange rate going there , $1 equals almost 200 yen , which is $2 essentially over there . So it's crazy . The exchange rate is very high , beneficial for Americans , and I think that's why they have such travel there right now .
Speaker 2Yeah .
Speaker 1And they're trying to get rid of travelers because us stupid Americans are going over there and being very disruptive , because they're very polite in their culture , very private in their culture , and it's like when you sit on public transit , you're expected to sit there quietly , not say a word . I thought I was whispering to ashley and she's like you're being too loud . I'm like I'm talking to you like this , but yeah , it's crazy . And then being there and just feeling embarrassed at some points because there's other Americans on the train and they're just like yeah , so I went to do this and I did that . They were so loud and belligerent and it's like guys , shut up . I don't want to be lumped in with y'all because we look the same .
Speaker 2America , heck , yeah . How many turkeys do you think will be eaten ?
Speaker 1Oh , that's right . We're talking about Thanksgiving . We've gotten off topic so many times in this episode . It's okay and I love it because it's a nice , natural conversation . It's organic . How many turkeys ? What do you think is the number ? A lot , I'm going to say two billion , two billion , two billion turkeys . That's a lot of turkeys every 10 years . Do the math ? This says one . Uh , this says 40 million whole turkeys are eaten in the us . Do the math equaling that into you know ?
Speaker 2into 10 years . I was right . Oh my gosh , how much money do you think is spent on ?
Speaker 1stuffing . On stuffing , how much , hold on , let's do this . How , how much does stuffing cost and how much stuffing is sold ? Then I'll tell you how much stuffing is consumed . Um , I'm gonna say 20 million pounds of stuffing .
Speaker 2Well , it's the number , like the- . How much is the dollar amount ? Oh , volume . I'll tell you this Kraft sells 40 million boxes of stovetop stuffing mix each year .
Speaker 1And 30 million of that is for Thanksgiving , probably so . So I'm going to say 30 million .
Speaker 2That's just box , that's just , that's just yes , boxes , that's 30 million dollars worth of stuffing so so you think that a box of craft stuffing is a dollar ?
Speaker 1I'm adjusting to my 40 million comment previous .
Speaker 2Well , it's 96 million is spent on stock .
Speaker 1Ah , shucks Only barely off , that's just .
Speaker 2Kraft . That's not the other companies that do it . Also , that doesn't need to be brought up for the turkeys . They couldn't Ballpark . It's $40 million because that's just what goes through the supermarkets . Like they can't really calibrate all the small mom-and-pop farms that sell turkeys ?
Speaker 1Sure , and I think the thing with that , too , is like you're comparing a living creature that has to be born and raised versus bread .
Speaker 2Versus bread .
Speaker 1I mean , that's what stuffing is R-E-A-D .
Speaker 2I just wanted everyone to be clear .
Speaker 1What did that sound like ? I said no , because bread could also like breeding . Oh sorry , sorry , sorry . You're right , ray . Sorry the bread that's in . Yeah , yeah , yeah , the grains , the grains which I'm sure still have to be grown , but it's not a living animal . Yeah , that's erased and taken care of , All right . So this statistic .
Speaker 2I thought was funny . 40% , that's a very large number . 40% of Campbell's cream of mushroom soup sales occurs around Thanksgiving .
Speaker 1Jeez , who's putting cream of mushroom in anything ? That's what you use for the green bean casserole .
Speaker 2oh , I wouldn't know , I don't eat it I'm sure it's in other stuff too , but like that's , that's what you mix in with the green bean casserole . I gotcha that's . But that's like very high . Almost half of their sales happens within a three-week span , imagine .
Speaker 1I hate the idea of being in an industry that only is like your profit is high during a very specific time . Like Spirit , like Spirit . That's why they're like expanding out to Christmas .
Speaker 2Well , for the longest time they didn't even have to . They made enough money for like one month or three weeks or whatever .
Speaker 1Well , I would say probably a lot leading up to Halloween . So probably two , let's say generously , say in two months , September , October , yeah , I guess . So Still , yeah , your business is in business only for two months out of the year and you make enough money from that to last the rest of the year . Yeah , that's insane , yeah , so I can't fathom just saying I worked for two months at my company and I made enough money . I don't have to work for 10 more months .
Speaker 2Well , dude , like some Alaskan fishers like the fish that they're after . They can go fishing for it like two days out of the year . Yeah .
Speaker 1But they catch enough . Sure , I understand it happens , but I just can't fathom that . So there's certain industries that you can do that , because what you're doing like a gold miner , you hit it good , you're not going to have to work for however long , and I just can't fathom that
Work, Holidays, Risks, and COVID
Speaker 1. Being an IT guy , like okay , what did I do today that fathom warrants me being off for 10 months . The same way with you being a handyman , it's like what job did you do that warranted you being off for 10 months ?
Speaker 2It's a weird train of thought , like there is , but , on that note , there are some guys that specialize in exclusively decor , so all they do is decorate people's houses yeah , but they don't do that for one month decorations . So that's either . So that , yeah it . Yeah . They work October through December . They put up Halloween , they take down Halloween .
Speaker 1Oh , I see what you're saying .
Speaker 2And they take down Christmas in January , and that's it .
Speaker 1You have to be sitting there like hitting up , like the millionaire houses .
Speaker 2Yeah , and you're going nonstop . I mean you're talking about doing like 10 houses a day or something like that . Sure , You're going hard for three months , but you make enough money , you don't .
Speaker 1Would you do a job that puts your life at risk , just so you don't have to work for an extended amount of time ? And there are jobs like that , like the fisherman job , the crab fishers and other things . I think I read it's like this guy has to climb up this really dangerous pole to change a single light bulb , cell phone tower guy , cell phone tower guy and he gets paid so much it's like fifty thousand dollars or something like that to just climb this tower because it's so dangerous to do yep , and it's like , wow , that's a lot , I could do that . I could not do that , yeah , because , funny enough , even though I love riding roller coasters , I have a fear of heights .
Speaker 2Yeah , so I could not climb up that thing , you know yeah , and you got to take into consideration that , like it's moving , the higher you get up , the more sway .
Speaker 1yeah , the tower is swaying and uh , so you gotta have good like , you gotta be resilient to vertigo and there was a movie about somebody that came out like in the last couple of years about somebody climbing a tower and being stuck , and the entire movie is about them being stuck on a tower like a cell phone tower .
Speaker 2I don't know , because that's the thing is . It's not like one of those things where it's like you drop your rope and up , You're stuck up there , Like it's , you're clipped in and you have to unclip dunk , unclip dunk move up , sure , and I'm sure they came up with some stupid reason in that movie that they got stuck .
Speaker 1It's like I understand like , okay , you fall and you hit your head and you're up . You're kind of hanging . Yeah , because you know , working in a warehouse before I worked in IT , I mean , if you fall , right , you have your harness in , but you do have risks of hanging there for a certain amount of time yeah , blood clots and whatnot , because your harness is constricting you . It saved you , but you have to very , still very quickly have to get down . So if you fall , hit your head , whatever that clip's holding you there , but you still risk damage and hurt . You're not safe just because you got caught by something .
Speaker 2Yeah , that's true . How many pounds ?
Speaker 1of cranberries do you think is sold each year At Thanksgiving Pounds . So we're actually talking about pounds this time . How many pounds of cranberries ? How much does one cranberry weigh ? I'm going to say 500 million pounds 500 million .
Speaker 2Yes , it's only 80 million . Oh my gosh , dude , I don't think you like the scope that you're talking .
Speaker 1I don't even know I'm thinking in an overpopulated society that is also booming within its economy . That's my train of thought .
Speaker 2That's my thing is 80 million pounds , for cranberries is large in my mind , so you're saying 500 million pounds .
Speaker 1Sorry , I meant over a span of about seven years . Oh , okay , yeah , yeah , yeah , yeah , hopefully my math adds up . Okay , okay okay . People are going to listen to this and be like this guy's stupid . I'm not as distracted as I was on the live stream , though , so that's nice .
Speaker 2Yeah , well , that's .
Speaker 1Because I wasn't monitoring a live stream while trying to also be entertaining .
Speaker 2Because I wasn't monitoring a live stream while trying to also be entertaining . There's some other things on this thing , but they're not as great .
Speaker 1But they do say the average cost of Thanksgiving dinner is expected to rise by 5% .
Speaker 2What is it currently ? This is off because this survey is a couple years old , but it was Just raise it by 5% . It was 46 , about 46 , $47 .
Speaker 1For a family per person .
Speaker 2Yeah , According to the Farm Brew Survey , the average cost for a Thanksgiving 2020 dinner was $46.90 . A 5% increase over 2020 would have this year's average so 2021 , cost at $49.25 .
Speaker 1And we know that went up because that was pre-COVID . What ?
Speaker 2Thanksgiving of 2020 would have been towards the end of COVID .
Speaker 1No , COVID was in 2020 .
Speaker 2Yeah , for two years . In March of no , they started opening regulations at the end of 2020 . Did they ?
Speaker 1Yeah , I just remember in my job being constricted for a good long time of having to wear a mask .
Speaker 2Oh , well , yeah , depending on who you worked for , they would still make you wear masks , and of course , because all you had during covid was your job .
Speaker 1If you still had a job , yeah , and the four walls inside your house but that's what I'm saying is like the it went from .
Speaker 2We went from january , everyone talking about oh it's not going to hit America , To March . America gets shut down for almost a month and then in like April May , they slowly start letting people out , Because I remember I was doing pest control at the time and I was considered an essential worker , so I would be driving around doing work and there was nobody . Like that is the very only time that I've driven on 75 in downtown Atlanta in the middle of the day and there was only two other cars on the road .
Speaker 1That was the wildest time , wasn't it ? Just , that is something that like go like , there's , it's nothing you could ever explain it , that it's like society was shut down . No one was like people were dying from it . I think again I , conspiracy wise , I don't think it was as bad as we were making it out to be . That's one thing , just , yeah , yeah . So just for things to not beat the world , not actually literally be on fire and zombies weren't on out , it was just everybody was in their homes . It was such a wild time to be in .
Speaker 2Yeah , yeah , that's true , and that's the thing is like , when you get into the conspiracy side of it , it's like they did it to prove it could be done . Like what will it take to get people off the streets and confined in their homes ? Mm-hmm , so that's what they did . And it's amazing to me because we're in america , and so it's like , hey , if you're caught , if you're not essential , and you're caught out in public , you could get arrested for breaking the , the shutdown or whatever . And it's like wait a minute , my constitutional rights allow me to be out in public . But look , I mean , so many people were so afraid that they didn't even have to worry about that . It wasn't until halfway through the year , when everyone was getting fed up with it , that people started going out regardless .
Speaker 1Right , and it's crazy because , being in California last week , people in California are still wearing masks . Yeah , it's not required , but I saw so many people wearing face masks .
Speaker 2Because it's seasonal . Now they took COVID and made it this disease that's going to end humanity and turn it into a seasonal thing where you got to get a seasonal shot for it every year , just like the flu , and maybe it'll work just like the flu shot , yeah , right .
Speaker 1So I went to uh , to the doctor to get a physical and they're like um , hey , you got um . We see you haven't had your flu shots in a very long time and I have a deep fear of needles , like hospitals and whatnot . And she's like um , you know you ? Uh looks like um , you know you need some shots . You want to do that now ? No , I didn't hesitate . No , yeah , no , I'm good yeah , dude it .
Speaker 2Uh , because that's the thing . I've met more people that have gotten the flu because they took the flu shot than like people that have actually just gotten influenza just out cold .
Speaker 1There's so many people I know , or I've heard stories of that , like they have gotten worse sick after taking the COVID shot , like there's something wrong with them physically one way or another . Their health's off , their health's off .
Speaker 2Yeah , dude , that's a whole other thing .
Speaker 1Tune in for episode 14 when we talk about COVID .
Speaker 2Dude . No , but seriously like there was an increase in heart failure related deaths in the younger population .
Thanksgiving History and Native American Relations
Speaker 2Yeah , and all these people , the coroners at the funeral homes . They were preparing these bodies and they found synthetic blood clots not natural biological ones . Found synthetic blood clots , not natural biological ones . Found synthetic blood clots in these people's bodies and everything that they had . The only thing that was consistent across the board with all these bodies they all had immunization from COVID or a booster . So to me it's like you know , I don't want to get out there and get in trouble for saying stuff , but it was not happening before and now it is , and it was for these .
Speaker 1What's the common denominator there ?
Speaker 2Yeah , booster shots . So , and you know we're the crazy . I might get arrested for this someday , but we're the crazy people . We don't do vaccinations Like . The only thing that we do is like a tetanus shot maybe , but I haven't even had one of those in a long time . Look at you . Yeah , face is melting off .
Speaker 2Yeah , I'm dying yeah , look at that I got lead paint on my walls too , but that's not because I'm afraid my kids will eat the chips . It's because I don't want the government using uh , I don't want the government looking through my walls .
Speaker 1That's right , they're going to get you .
Speaker 2I think that's so funny when they do the x-rays of your body and they're like , okay , we're just gonna x-ray and see what's wrong with you and see if we can make you better , and then they go to a room plate of glass far away .
Speaker 1You're inside the machine .
Speaker 2You're inside the machine , yeah , and you've got just a little lead apron to protect your special parts , your special parts , so you can reproduce Like okay , we're afraid of lead paint because apparently it's bad for you , but lead's our saving grace when we go get x-rays Come on what's going on there .
Speaker 1No , you're right , there's so much weird things that we do as a society just because we're told that's the norm . But we always have things come out that's like , oh , don't drink coffee because it's bad for you . And then a year later it's like studies say that coffee is great for your health . Like we don't . Like we don't know what we're doing . Like how did we get a COVID vaccine so quick ? Oh , because it kills you . Like you know .
Speaker 2Yeah .
Speaker 1I don't know , it's just . It's like it's wild how we trust so much what strangers in power say .
Speaker 2Yeah , I hate it .
Speaker 1I hate it . Yeah , government sucks Government sucks .
Speaker 2But , ironically , I don't support anarchism Anarchy , we do need control Under Jesus Christ . That's right . Our Lord and Savior , jesus Christ , who promotes everything in moderation . Correct , all things are lawful , but not all things are beneficial . So what do you know about the history of Thanksgiving ?
Speaker 1Old Chrissy Chrissy Kalam no no , he has nothing to do with it , Nope Um . Old Chrissy Chrissy Colom no no .
Speaker 2He has nothing to do with it .
Speaker 1Nope , even though we're told he does .
Speaker 2Thanksgiving . Right , like no , he has nothing to do with Thanksgiving . Christopher Columbus was the first , first European to sell sail across to the Americas .
Speaker 1He discovered the Americas Right . But then , when they landed right , totally different group , totally different . Who am I thinking of ? Or it was just public school teaching , terrible .
Speaker 2You're thinking of the colonists that landed and met for Plymouth .
Speaker 1Rock yeah , okay .
Speaker 2Yeah .
Speaker 1The Quakers . Maybe I'm just stupid , or maybe they combined that nonsense in public school . I don't remember .
Speaker 2I've always understood it as two separate things .
Speaker 1Watch it . One of us has to be wrong .
Speaker 2It's you , because I've done all the research today . No , but okay , it's cool , right ? It's surrounded by a group of settlers on the mayflower who , coming over from england , who was piloted by christopher columbus . No , christopher columbus came over from spain on the n the Pinta and the Santa Maria .
Speaker 1And then , but at the head of it was the Mayflower .
Speaker 2Landed on an island in the Caribbean . People are going to think I'm serious here . Halfway across the ocean . They changed the name to the Mayflower All three of them Mayflower . They built a mega ship out of all three ships . He named it the Mayflower .
Speaker 1No , so yeah , Apparently not To answer your question initially , apparently nothing , I know nothing , okay so .
Speaker 2Does the name Squanto ring a bell ?
Speaker 1Yes , and Pocahontas too .
Speaker 2Okay , well , she has nothing to do with it .
Speaker 1Okay , so Squanto I actually I like the story of squanto and my wife and I we watch the disney squanto movie every year for thanksgiving I remember that you were saying that like you wanted to like that start that as a tradition at your family's thanksgiving , to just put that movie on yeah , but no , nobody would get on board with it .
Speaker 2So I was like I'm not going to put any effort into this if nobody's going to enjoy it . So because we tried to , I tried to put it on just on the tv one year . I was like let's just see if people will watch it . Nobody did somebody . So why would I bring out a projector and a screen and benches .
Speaker 1I remember when you put that up , somebody picked up the TV and threw it out the window .
Speaker 2Like no , we're not doing this . But anyways okay . So basic history for you .
Speaker 1Okay , thank you , give me that . Non-public school education , yeah .
Speaker 2So there was a group of colonists that came over , not led by Christopher Columbus , not led by Christopher Columbus . They were , I think they were anti-Baptist , they were Quakers , they were people trying to get away from religious regulation in England . And so they came over on the Mayflower and they landed . But when they landed they spent like the first winter on the ship , and on the ship they basically half the people on the ship died from different disease , and so when they went ashore and started building their colony , they didn't know what they were doing , and the own and the key to their survival was a indian named squanto , and he came and helped the settlers because he could speak english .
Speaker 2So the story of squanto is he's captured by a European ship and brought as a slave to England and he's rescued and by the aid of the Catholic Church he's able to get on another exploration ship back to the Americas , and so he escapes slavery and comes back to North America and rejoins his tribe . But in that time he learned how to speak English , so he could speak English . And so when they get off the Mayflower he's brought to them and he can communicate with them and he teaches them how to survive off the land . So he teaches them how to plant maize , which we call corn today .
Speaker 1Is that why we have a corn maze ?
Speaker 2yeah no , no , it was , I think it is . I mean , it's a type of corn yeah maze , m-i-a-z .
Speaker 2Yeah , um , and it's like that . You know smaller , and sometimes it's like in different colors , like a red or brownish I know which one you're talking about . Yeah , so , but that was what they grew . So the natives in that area would grow maize and they would hunt and fish , and so he taught them different plants . You could eat different plants . You couldn't eat things to use . You could use to build things , to hunt all this different stuff . He taught them how to survive and they built up a community and then , because of squanto , basically that community made a treaty with squanto's tribe , the wampanoag tribe , um , and they lived , which okay , let me step back they made made a treaty with Native Americans and Squanto was the key point of that .
Speaker 2And so in this whole story , you know how the Native American , different Native American communities , want to talk about the tyranny of the colonists . Mm-hmm , and I'm not trying to say that Europeans were like the bee's knees . Okay , there's a lot of bad that happened . Some hip lingo there for you ? Yeah , but there was an article I was reading and basically this person was alleging that the people that came over on the Mayflower they brought all this disease that had destroyed a lot of these tribes , decimated a lot of these tribes , which is true .
Speaker 2There were diseases that came over from Europe and these Native American nations that were all across America . They didn't have the immunity because they never had these diseases before , so they didn't have the immunity for it . So it decimated all people groups Like you're talking millions of people in the North America area area and then over a short span of like a hundred years it drops by 70 . So it it decimates the tribes and then the colonists start coming over . Um , but anyways , so you know that
Thanksgiving History and Controversies
Speaker 2kind of happens . But they're talking about how the wampanoag , you know , made a treaty with these guys but they didn't honor it and all this other stuff . And I go into looking at it and like they said that they made the treaty to help fight against one of their rival , one of the rival tribes , which was like the Narragansett or something like that .
Speaker 1Is that a clan in Lord of the Rings ? What was that word ?
Speaker 2Yeah , let me .
Speaker 1The Azagul Nazarath .
Speaker 2I've got the name . I had the name Narganaset , narganaset . But when I look into other , when I look into that tribe and everything I can find about that tribe , that was actually the predominant tribe in the territory , the Nagaranset , and they protected other tribes and other smaller tribes in that area , like the Wampanoag tribe , which is the tribe that Squanto's from . So they were the predominant tribe that other smaller tribes like Squanto's tribe paid homage to . So they would give them basically gifts and portions of their crops and yields and stuff for protection and the Nagarasat , the Naragasat tribe . Their enemy was the Piriqua tribe . So when the according to everything else , when the colonists came , they made a treaty with Nagarasat against the Piraquai and so they fought with them against the Piraquai tribe . So it's like this article that's trying to bash the colonists .
Speaker 2Coming over is already like lying about how I went down . Like lying about how I went down , um , and that's my . So this is my I guess where I , I I try to be sensitive , but when it comes to the thanksgiving , like found the founding of america and the thanksgiving and stuff , like bad stuff happened to the native american people . However , to like it's racist to say like , oh , the white man brought all this to the native americans or whatever , mm-hmm . Because Europeans come over and they're more technologically advanced and they beat you and take over the territory because they won and they kept you around . Now you're complaining about how awful they are . Why aren't you complaining about the other tribes that would totally decimate you and sell you into slavery and all this other stuff right ? All this other stuff right . So that's the issue that I have is like , I don't think .
Speaker 1I think there was a lot of wrong done by the American people and by European colonists coming in .
Speaker 2But they're not the ones solely to blame . It didn't stand out from anything that was already happening . Is what I'm getting at ? Yeah , is what I'm getting at , yeah , so the only difference is that there's just some of these tribes are still around today because they weren't totally decimated and sold into slavery by another tribe . You know so , um , yeah , but a whole nother thing . Like it's really , there's a lot of , there's a lot of darkness that goes on in these um reservations for native americans . So it's one of those things where it's like dude , I the light . I really want the light of christ to shine on these people , because it it's not .
Speaker 2It's not cool all the bad stuff that happens . Sure , and then it's not cool all the bad stuff that happens .
Speaker 1Sure , and then it's also that inherited weird idol worshiping that they have the sun god and the moon god and the ground god , that they have that kind of stuff . It's kind of inherited .
Speaker 2Kind of . I don't know if a whole lot of that is still practiced by a majority of them . It's more so like so because they've lived on basically government assistance for so long . A lot of them , if they don't leave the res , they stay on the res and they just stay on government assistance and they don't get ahead . And it's the same with projects that we have in the cities . Most everybody in these projects they don't work , or if they do work , it's a very small job and they live off of government assistance but they're not living in anything great . They are considered , you know , very poor .
Speaker 2And if we've learned anything from our election live stream , we need less government , yeah we need less government and people need to have the freedom and liberty to go out and make their own money To rely on themselves to survive . Yeah , there needs to be less regulation and there needs to be more independence , because the more regulation and codependence on the government it's not solving issues , it's just creating issues . So that's my opinion . You can attack me for it , that's okay .
Speaker 1You can find Johnny at insert Jonathan's address here , 222-222 . Fake street . Fake street With social security number . What if I just spewed out your social security number right now , like how do you know that ? Yeah , I'm so impressed that you know that . Leave it in .
Speaker 2Sorry , I did that wrong .
Speaker 1No , he's a surgeon .
Speaker 2Anyways , when do you think Thanksgiving officially became Thanksgiving Thanksgiving ?
Speaker 1I'm going to say it's after Christopher Columbus sailed on the Mayflower .
Speaker 2Yes .
Speaker 1So you agree that Christopher Columbus sailed on the Mayflower ? No , I'm going to say it's probably like one of those more surprisingly more modern holidays . If I had to guess , I would say maybe 1800s . Yeah , so it was Did I finally ?
Speaker 2get something right in this episode . Yeah , it was officially set up as a nationwide celebration by Abraham Lincoln in 1863 . So you know , civil War had just finished and there was some other scandalous stuff that happened with different first nation tribes and reservation stuff . So he tried to set up a day of thanksgiving and he used the model of the pilgrims and the natives coming together to help each other learn how to survive and build allegiance or build camaraderie with each other . So if you want to complain to me , you can write to me . My address is 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue Northwest Washington DC 52500 .
Speaker 1Is that what ?
Speaker 2Just write to my address .
Speaker 1Is that what took you so long ? Yeah , we had to look up your quote .
Speaker 2unquote address , my address . Yeah , so just write any kind of hate mail to . Once again , Johnny at 1600 Pennsylvania .
Speaker 1Make sure you do , he actually goes . When you send him mail to this address , actually address it to Joe . Send him mail to this address .
Speaker 2Actually address it to Joe . Anyways , the address is once again 1600 .
Speaker 1Pennsylvania Avenue , northwest Washington DC , 20500 . Got that and they will take any kind of letters . Yeah , anything letters , yeah anything . I sent um . I actually did send . My mom sent a a um poem I wrote in the fifth grade to the white house . Uh , because it was just like . It was like I , okay , here's the thing . Right , it was at the time . It was like a insert your words here type thing , like it just insert your poem here type thing , and I was like how patronizing can I be ? What's the topic right now ? Oh yeah , 9-11 just happened . Oh no , so the poem was essentially crying and praying for the soldiers .
Speaker 2Yeah .
Speaker 1And it just moved everybody so much , and so my mom sent it to the White House and I got an autographed picture of George Bush and a letter thanking him about my patriotism to the country again him thanking me for my patriotism yeah , so what do you think ?
Speaker 29 11 inside job yeah , probably .
Speaker 1Like , let's be honest , like the things you see , like why is it that these explosions happen ? Like , like weird , like strategic looking explosions near the base of the towers going off before the towers fell unnaturally inward the demolition fall , not a toppling like right the planes hit it . An unnatural that's what I'm saying is an unnatural . What would have fell ? And also the fight . How was it that the fires were above , near the top , but it fell ?
Speaker 2from the bottom . Yeah , yeah , and I think they interviewed a bunch of different architects and stuff and they're like a lot of the high-rises in New York are built to withstand plane crashes . They anticipate something like that happening . So anyways , we can deep dive into that another time . Yeah , we'll get on that one , you brought up George Bush and your patriotism in 9-11 . And I was like well , what do you think ?
Speaker 1Well , was it also the video of like why did they have a camera ready to get his reaction ? Yeah , like he , strategically , was in front of people right around the time perfectly reading a story to get his reaction Like . There's a lot of like this . Why is this all ? Everything lines up so perfectly when we talk about it , with you trying to get a footage of something in the sky , and it's difficult to do that , but how did we have perfect footage of everything ? Yep .
Speaker 2Speaking of which , those green lights , yeah thing , yep speaking of which those green lights .
Speaker 1Yeah , my brother saw them too just recently .
Speaker 2Oh , yeah , which one ? Which green light ? The ones that I saw ? No , which brother ? Oh , the younger one , gotcha .
Speaker 2I don't know if he wants his name , yeah it's fine , but if you want your name on here , I'll shout you out next time . Anyways , he saw them , um , in the same area . He wasn't in the exact spot that I was , but he was within half a mile , okay , he saw them going through the night sky . And then he said , the next day , in that area , his wife saw a group of military helicopters flying around in the area nice . Those may have nothing to do with each other , but there is not a military air base anywhere near that area .
Speaker 1Do you remember that scene in Signs when Walking Phoenix is watching the news broadcast ? No , have you never seen Signs ? I've seen it . It's been a long time . So he's watching the news broadcast of the first time . They get footage of aliens in that movie Uh-huh , and it's like a Mexican family , oh okay . Of aliens in that movie . Uh-huh , and it's like a mexican family , oh okay . And then the alien walks across and it's like a really crappy cg , but it's such a haunting moment in that movie . Yeah , I feel like that's gonna be . You're just gonna be looking out in the field and you're just gonna see something walking through the field yeah , well , okay .
Speaker 2So so we brought up 9-11 and just how coincidental everything lined up for the government's response right . So that brings me into like , look at everything that they're bringing up the government specifically bringing up about UFOs and UAVs and aliens and all this crap that it's like no one believed in this stuff . You know , it was a very small group of people that believed in it , and now you constantly bring it up and now the general public is like open to the idea of the existence of aliens .
Speaker 1I love how like my theory on that is just how strategic is like how can we distract people right now ? Let's give them
Government, Disasters, and Thankfulness
Speaker 1like . It is funny how the reaction of everybody's like oh okay , like it wasn't like wild , like when they come out , like yeah , aliens are real .
Speaker 2Yeah . So like yeah , cool , but that's my thing is like they've been . They've been building it up for so long and in the past couple of years they've really ramped it up , and so it's like what's the propaganda ? Is there going to be something in the near future where alien stuff happens and the government's just like hey , you got to trust in us to get through this , because that's what they did with 9-11 .
Speaker 19-11 happened .
Speaker 2And they're like you got to trust us , we're going to fight terrorism and then they do it with COVID .
Speaker 1Trust us , we'll take care of you and we'll solve COVID . Here we are , and I'm sure there's stuff between 2001 and 2020 that happened the same way too , that I can't think of off the top of my head .
Speaker 2That's my thing . The towers fall and we go into war to end terrorism , but it's really for oil . We're still across the Middle East to this day fighting terrorism . So it's like , yeah , you're right , it's about resources and making sure that the right people are in control of those resources that we benefit , that we benefit . So it's like , what are they going to do with aliens If they keep on talking about it and keep on bringing it up ? Are they going to stage some sort of weird alien thing just to get more control of the American people or to get positive ?
Speaker 1response from the American people , because right now , the government is not in a positive eye with anybody Correct . So what can we do ? I mean , that's literally I think I talked about this before , but the ending to Watchmen , the movie , is literally . That is one person creating a catastrophe so that the people can come together against something else . Yeah , and it's not unheard of that .
Speaker 2somebody could create a catastrophe to try to get everybody on your side so we can all band together to fight this thing well , I mean it and that's the thing is it works because that's why america got into world war ii is because it's the only like the deciding factor that got amer fully involved , like where we were sending troops Was when we got attacked Was when we got attacked yeah , at a military base in Hawaii .
Speaker 2And so you know that happens , pearl Harbor happens , and it went from Americans being skeptical and like we just got done with the world war , why would we get into another one ? To oh , I'm on board , I'm going to sell everything that I have , my sons are going to go over and fight and I'm going to work in my community to help the war machine so that we can conquer the axis threat or whatever you know . And so it worked , like it just took a catastrophe and the government saying , hey , trust in us and we'll get through this . And so now it's almost like they have started manufacturing catastrophes to get positive feedback from the populace and to get control over the populace .
Speaker 1Have you seen what's going on now ? What they're saying is happening now ? Ukraine has fired missiles at russia . Uh , recently , and they are american provided missiles and the um . The consensus right now everybody's saying is that joe biden authorized these missiles to be shot . Yeah , like a month or two before trump is going to be put inaugurated into office . So it's like what mess can we create for him ? Yeah , so that he can't do the things that he's going to do , which would not benefit the left well , you heard why he did that , though .
Speaker 2Why he ? The justification is because north korean troops moved into ukraine to help russia fight . Kim jong-un sent korean military , and so he wants to be involved well , because the that's his excuse . He wants to be what people are saying online . I don't know if he said this personally , but the motivation is that he wants his military soldiers and generals and captains to have actual military fighting experience , because they haven't been in a war since the korean war , so everyone in their military has not fought anywhere , and that's kim jong-un saying that well , that's what they're alleging is why they're they're there .
Speaker 2They're they're there to get military experience , actual live combat experience .
Speaker 1So you know why would you want to prep for that , though , unless something big's coming ?
Speaker 2yeah , maybe I don't know , no , but so anyways , what are you thankful for ?
Speaker 1this has been a wild episode . Yeah , I'm loving it . The board do I ? I said we're all over the board no , but it's okay , I think I'm enjoying this for sure . Good um , I'm thankful for my wife she's so good , my wife , my wife . I'm thankful for uh wife she's so good , my wife , my wife . I'm thankful for this family , your family in general , my family .
Speaker 2Aw .
Speaker 1This podcast is pretty great . It's fun to do , even though I'm always wrong on it when you ask me questions , uh-uh , no , it's true , I got okay . Of all the questions you've asked me , 1800s . You got that one right , one one . I got one question right . People are going to listen . If this is somebody's first episode , I promise you I'm not this stupid usually . Well , but it's like things that people Well , I also said Christopher Columbus , yeah .
Speaker 2But I'll bet you there's a lot of people that just they take Christopher Columbus Because it's thanksgiving and crumble them up together and throw them into the trash can basketball hoop ?
Speaker 1just to say like they're all together probably , like you know , just to like , when you're telling that story of america in the beginning , why not condense it and try to put a face , a leader , because , like we are saying , we want something to rally behind . But what am I thankful for ? Again , my wife , my family , your family , because you're my family , you know my job , I am blessed with a good job and God . I'm thankful for God and God's grace and sending him , sending his son to die for me Amen yeah .
Speaker 1Yeah , I am . Aim to fix us , that's right .
Speaker 2Fix us . I am thankful for Christ . I am thankful for Christ . Yeah , our very lives are what they are today because of Jesus . So I know , if I was not following the Lord , I would not be married to the wonderful wife that I'm married to , I would not have the beautiful kids that I have , I would not have the decades little decades long relationship that I have with you , you know . So christ is at the center of all of that . So I'm grateful for the lord rescuing me from my sin , and it's created the life that I live today , where I'm just trying to serve and honor him . And I feel like we're doing that with the podcast , like we're just trying to be creative and have entertaining content for people , but we always want to bring it back around to Jesus and show like hey , you can enjoy talking about Thanksgiving statistics . You can enjoy talking about movies , you can enjoy talking about conspiracy theories and bring Jesus into the conversation , yes , and make it revolve around him .
Speaker 1And that's always key , and that was always the intention of this podcast was to entertain , yep , but entertain with Jesus , that's right . That's right . We need some sort of sound effect Entertainment with Jesus , and then just .
Speaker 2Oh , la , la , la , la la of sound effect , entertainment with Jesus , and then just Yep , we're getting close to that time . So do you want to ?
Speaker 1just dive in .
Conspiracy Corner
Speaker 1Let's dive into the . Have we decided on a name on this , because we keep jumping around it ? Last time it was the cryptid Cryptid Conspiracy Corner .
Speaker 2Yeah , it was Cryptid Corner . Then it was the cryptid , cryptid conspiracy corner .
Speaker 1Yeah , it was cryptic corner . There was cryptic conspiracy corner , can we ? Is it now just the corner ? Let's just call it the corner the corner yeah .
Speaker 2The Corner .
Speaker 1Sounds like a hip youth group . Hey , charlie , doesn't it ?
Speaker 2It's like the Corner .
Speaker 1The Corner . So it'll be something called something next week , but for now it's the Corner . We could actually do a good intro and call it something next week , else next week , but for now it's the corner .
Speaker 2We could we could actually do a good intro . We need to record just an intro with the eerie music and just one of us whispering the corner bonus just all of our all of our intro , all of our little sound bites , everything is just us whispering words yeah allpered it , yeah , all right . So what do you know about giants ?
Speaker 1Well , David , david , mm-hmm , and Goliath , goliath .
Speaker 2Goliath , Goliath Yep . So that's in 1 Samuel . I think it's 1 Samuel 16 . David and Goliath . The 16 . David and Clyde . The story of David and Clyde . But , there are other locations in the Bible that talk about giants too .
Speaker 1We know that giants are real . Like that's something I can't even sit here and dispute and be like I don't know conspiracy , you know you might be . You're just talking crazy , I don't know , maybe they're real . I'd be a moron to sit here and say that I believe everything in the bible but then say I don't know giants aren't real giants are real .
Speaker 1Yeah , they're not around anymore , that we know that we know of yeah , um and that's probably getting into the conspiracy side of them but we've known they exist and it's not unheard of to hear see of them . But we've known they exist and it's not unheard of to hear see people who are bigger than you anyways . Yeah , so it's not like it's like , you know , like an interdimensional bigfoot creature . It's just , yeah , a person who is quite literally huge .
Speaker 2Yeah , so it's , it's not unheard of , but I'm assuming what we're about to talk about is unheard of well , it's just not um taken seriously , because the mainstream science community doesn't want to acknowledge the existence of giants , I think for some reason there's giants in the sky ?
Speaker 2Yeah , exactly so people want to people in the side . They're a fairy tale , they're making it a fairy tale . It's a fairy tale , and so if you actually acknowledge the existence of this fairy tale creature , then you have to kind of bring everything else into perspective and truly examine it .
Speaker 1So isn't that also kind of like I feel like would be a tactic of the devil , right Of the enemy , to you know , to say , to claim , to put in the mindset , to set that you know , that mental seed of it's all just a fairy tale , it's things that were taught to teach you . You know it's not real , so but the thing is is is like the moment that we have even one little thing from the bible , like in the real world which we have seen , it opens everything wide open yeah so I mean , I think we've have found giant bones .
Speaker 1Right , we find found pieces of the ark of the Covenant or a boat that is , yeah , not the Ark of the Covenant . Sorry , sorry , noah's Ark . I'm sorry , sorry , indiana Jones .
Speaker 2Well , and so that came out recently . Apparently , ethiopia alleges that they have the Ark of the Covenant . Oh really , yeah , no one's seen it . They say it's in this building and that it's guarded , and all this stuff .
Speaker 1But it's right there , next to the aliens in the warehouse .
Speaker 2Yeah Well , no , it's in Ethiopia . It's not under American government control , sure , but it's still in a warehouse . No , it's like a little chapel . Oh really , it's like not a very secure looking building .
Speaker 1You want to go pick a , pick up the ark real quick ?
Speaker 2well , apparently I'd be terrified to go get it yeah , they were saying that , like someone is picked to be the guardian of it at all times , so they have to be in the building with it at all times and apparently the life expectancy of these guys is very , very short . So apparently it's like radioactive . Allegedly , this is all allegedly Right , so I don't know , but anyway , getting back to giants , the Native Americans have stories of giants in North America and it's not just like one group of people , like different tribes in different parts of the country . All have stories of these giant peoples that were here before they got here , right .
Speaker 1So I mean , if we have Goliath , right , yeah , ain't no way that there's only just one .
Speaker 2No , there's not , and that's the thing . The Bible has several different books that talks about giants . So Genesis 6 , 4 is where the Nephilim words used to talk about giants , where the Nephilim words used to talk about giants and it's debated on . You know what they are , but that's the first time it comes up Genesis 6 . Numbers 13 is it's brought up . It's when Israel sends out the spies to go into the land to survey the land . They come back and say that the land is like bountiful and plentiful , but the people there are giants and they were afraid . They were afraid Everyone except Joshua and Caleb . So that talks about giants . And then we get into Deuteronomy , under the leadership of Joshua , when they finally start taking over land , they defeat King Og of Bashan and he's considered to be a big boy , like oh , such a big boy , big boy . So you know it's not just Goliath Like they're indifferent giants .
Speaker 1Goliath like they're in different giants . So through in . You're saying now , the logic then from that is they're spread out in that area , they're more than likely everywhere .
Speaker 2They're not gonna be in one one place well , it was a tribal people group and it was called . They were called . A lot of people call the Amalekites or the Amorites . I want to say the Well . Okay , here's the issue . I've always understood Amorites as just an overall thing . There's a bunch of different people , groups that fall under that umbrella of Amorite .
Speaker 1Am I right , yeah , or am I wrong ?
Speaker 2You're probably wrong , but anyways . So it's this people group that have these giants in them and they you know , different kingdoms will have these giants scattered throughout , like the Philistines . They're not Amorites , but they had giants among them , okay , because obviously Goliath , you know . Um , so , anyways , the idea , the very this is all alleged , but the idea is that these people came over to the North Americas and started populating , and so there , I mean , there's even some stories where they talk about some tribes claim to be here before the the giants , and then other tribes claim that they stumbled across the giants and the giants were already here . So I guess it just depends on what part of the land you're at .
Speaker 2Um , but they came over in giant reed ships over the ocean , but when they stepped off the boats like the . So , first off , they're all white . They make that very clear that all the giants are white skinned , tall , white skinned , red hair . Okay , um , so the giants are Irish . Yeah , yeah , got it Perfect .
Speaker 2But they said that like they were so big that the normal sized white man from Europe , when they started coming over , would have come up to the kneecaps of these giants Like they're monsters . They're 20 feet tall . They're monsters , they're 20 feet tall , right , so , um , so , yeah , there's just , but there's different . I mean different races , uh , different nations of indians , the , the choctaw , the navajo , the comanches , all these different people groups claim to have interacted with these tribes of giants , and some of them claim that they were cannibalistic . The giant tribes were , and so that's why they fought with the giant tribes and killed them all off was because they were cannibals I mean , where else are you going to get enough food to feed your giant appetite , but a giant so well , no , like they would kill the the native first nations people like they would be at war with them .
Speaker 2They would come oh gotcha , eat them even still like .
Speaker 1What's the easiest thing to get to eat is probably that for them well , but that's never been the . I'm just saying , I'm thinking about it logically through , even though it would be or wouldn't be .
Speaker 2Every people group that has been stumbled across that practices cannibalism . It's a ritual thing , it's never a resource thing .
Speaker 1So you're saying they were ritually eating ?
Speaker 2They were cannibal , like they practiced cannibalism , but it wasn't because , like they needed to survive so they ate humans . It was like it was just a part of their culture , like it either gave them power to consume human flesh or blood , or it was like , uh , we killed them in battle , so we honor their spirit by consuming them , whatever it is . Because , remember when we talked about vampires , like some people practice vampirism where they ingest human blood or animal blood .
Speaker 1But it's not a ritual , it's not based off of some sort of supernatural need for it .
Speaker 2Well , no that's what I'm saying . The people that practice it . The mentality is I gain power .
Speaker 1Sure they need it , but really , again , it's just to keep that mentality of I am a vampire versus somebody who , if it was a real creature , a vampire who actually would physically need it to survive .
Speaker 2Yeah , yeah . But our very own tribe , that Squanto's from , has a legend of a giant , so the Wampanoag tribe , they had a giant called .
Speaker 1Malshop , mama Shop .
Speaker 2Mama .
Speaker 1Shop . Mama's Malshop , mama and Pop Shop .
Speaker 2It's pronounced M-A-U Shop , mao Shop , mao Shop . So , anyways , I told you about this , but I'm going to go ahead and reread it for our viewers . It is funny . So Mao Shop is a giant who is the culture hero of the Mohegan and Wampanoag tribes , sometimes referred to as a transformer . Go ahead , we tried to get a sound , did you not get it ? No , okay , do the sound . I don't know . Maybe we can find it and insert it .
Speaker 1But anyways , no , you know good and well , we're keeping that Okay .
Speaker 2But Malshop is strongly associated with whales .
Speaker 1How are you ? We're trying to find your son .
Speaker 2We're trying to find your son . In most tribal traditions he would catch whales to feed the people and in some stories , malshop and or his children eventually transform into whales themselves .
Speaker 1So the idea is that they weren't getting smaller .
Speaker 2They were getting bigger enough to be whales . Oh , he was big enough to to capture whales like a fisherman would fish , but he could transform into a whale . So the story evolved over time . They're like yeah , he he hunts whales for us , like these untouchable sea monsters he catches , catches them for us .
Speaker 1Sounds like a oh yeah he's a whale himself .
Speaker 2Like he can turn into a whale .
Speaker 1Sounds like a load of baloney .
Speaker 2Actually it would be . Sounds like a whale blubber . It would be a load of blubber , anyways , this is where I think it's the most hilarious , and we already talked about it , but for the viewers sake . So , malshop has a wife named Squanete Squanete , who is a powerful medicine woman of the little people and the little people are not dwarfs or anything like that no , they're not normal sized people because Malshop is so big .
Speaker 2The little people are smaller than the average human being people , the supernatural small people , so like fairies and things like that , yeah , fall into the category of the fairies , yep . Yep .
Speaker 1So you have this super extra giant person to this who befriends the even smaller of the small people .
Speaker 2Yep . So yeah , her name is Squant Squant , I'm trying to .
Legends, Hollywood, and Faith Trends
Speaker 1Sounded like somebody couldn't see something with words . They squant .
Speaker 2Squant Squanut . Squanut sounded like somebody couldn't see something with words .
Speaker 1they squant squant squant , like it says , squinting with their eyes .
Speaker 2They're squinting with their words but uh , yeah , it says type little person , wise woman , grandmother , witch . So there it is . Oh , I'm trying to see what her name means in this , but it doesn't really say it means Make it up .
Speaker 1Make it up right now . What does her name mean ?
Speaker 2It means to struggle to see far off . What's that over there ?
Speaker 1So she's nearsighted . That's why she helps the little people , because she can see them .
Speaker 2No , she is the little people , and that's why she's nearsighted .
Speaker 1That's right , I just called all little people nearsighted wow , so wait , so sorry , I'm sorry , I misunderstood that . So she's also a little person , but is partnered up with a giant . Is that what you're saying ? Married to a giant ?
Speaker 2Yeah . So she's considered to be the wife of the cultural hero Malshop . Though Malshop is usually portrayed as a giant , squant is considered one of the little people , oh , or Makawa Saug .
Speaker 1I heard you when you said that . I thought you said like , like an ally to the little people no , no , like she is one of . Okay , I misunderstood that . That's even funnier . Yeah , yeah , yeah , didn't you describe it as the guy who plays the mountain in game of thrones ?
Speaker 2next to his wife . Yeah , because he's like seven feet tall and his wife's like four nine or five .
Speaker 1Yeah , she's really short and he is extra tall .
Speaker 2Yeah yeah , he's huge . So yeah , um , now I'm going down , now I'm going down this rabbit trail . What are the Makawasug ? What ? That's the name of the , usually Makiawisug . Makiawisug , they're the little people or forest spirits , according to different tribes , the Mohican and Pequot tribes . So they're hobbits or fairies . One of the two .
Speaker 1Or just a really short person .
Speaker 2Or just a really short person with magical powers . I have eagle powers .
Speaker 1I am I gotta watch that movie again . It's a good movie . So while I was in california we did a um a studio tour yeah and went through an area where they filmed that movie . Oh really yeah , nice , so Dude .
Speaker 2Not you .
Speaker 1The other thing that was really cool . So do you remember in the movie Mousetrap , mousetrap , mama's shop . Do you remember in the movie the Mask , when they do the Cuban Pete dance where he forces everybody to dance in the streets Vaguely ? Yes , we were at where they filmed that as well .
Speaker 2Can you imagine how terrifying that would be to experience that in real life , where you're just taken like a rag doll and just made to dance ?
Speaker 1Yes , I watched that movie recently . That movie still holds up really well . Yeah , yeah .
Speaker 2Yeah , dude , getting into all this kind of like conspiracy theory stuff , you know , sometimes you get these stories of people that are faced with oh , yeah , okay , yeah , yeah , yeah , and you see where I was there .
Speaker 1It's crazy how it's like yeah , that's the building , yeah , that's awesome .
Speaker 2But , dude , like some people that get into the whole demonic stuff where , like , they're just totally debilitated because of this whatever entity , something is just completely in control . It just , yeah , incapacitates them and they're overwhelmed with fear and stuff and you're just like dude , that sucks .
Speaker 1So it's either a demon or it's Jim Carrey . More than likely a demon .
Speaker 2It's going to be a demon . I think Jim Carrey is like the way he acts . More recently it sounds like he's coming to faith .
Speaker 1oh really yeah , that's good , that's what it seems like , because I remember watching something where he was talking about when he played , uh , andy kaufman that movie , I think it was man on the moon was the movie , but I was watching a documentary about them making man on the Moon where he went so deep into the method acting of being that character that he was no longer himself , yeah , and so he was talking about it like years later and he was like you know , when you put your mind to it , you can be anything you want . Maybe in the next movie I'll be Jesus . It was some weird . That was a really what I feel like a really low point for him . Yeah , but if what you're saying is that he's actually getting right , that's good to hear .
Speaker 2I don't yeah , I don't know it , just I've heard . I've heard little sound bites from a couple of different interviews more recently , the more recent years , and it sounds like he's kind of been fed up with Hollywood .
Speaker 1I mean he said he was retiring , but here he is gonna do sonic three . So well , the last three movies he did was all sonic movies . Yeah , so children movies . So yeah , maybe he has more faith in that now . I don't know .
Speaker 2But he , he , yeah . So but some of the stuff he's talking it kind of falls along the line of a christian mindset , you know . I mean it was really cool when I saw that what's his name ?
Speaker 1I know exactly who you're talking about Russell Brand , yeah .
Speaker 2Russell Brand when he finally was like I'm a Christian , yeah , Not like a , it doesn't feel fake either like that Hollywood religious guy it's very .
Speaker 2It doesn't feel fake either like that Hollywood religious guy it's very very clear , because he went from being super spiritual to it's Christ , it's all Christ . We are wretched sinners and we're nothing without Christ . That's how he is now . Yeah , so that's really good . Jordan Peterson is another one . He was really renowned for being this really intellectual , down-to-earth guy who stands his ground , but he was an atheist and now he's a Christian too , professing .
Speaker 1It's good seeing so many people stepping out against it .
Speaker 2Yeah , I mean , the truth of the gospel is there and God's going to present it to you and it's up to you to receive , not to say your salvation is based on your actions . That's not what I'm saying . I'm saying that God has made a way for you to be saved and he requires you to confess and believe because he commands us to do it . He says in order to be saved , you must confess with your mouth that you believe in God and that you believe in the sacrifice of his son , jesus Christ . So you know ? Um , so , yeah , like that that's the thing , is it ? It's out there , and the more people are starting to be confronted with just the harsh reality of like , hey , jesus is real , there's no way around it . You cannot put this off any longer . You have got to make a decision .
Speaker 2You're either going to repent and believe or you're going to stay in darkness because you love the darkness . Because that's what John says in the gospel of John . He says the people that rejected the light , it's because they loved darkness . So , and Jesus is the light , he's the light of all men . So you reject Christ it's because you love darkness . So , but yeah , it is cool just to kind of see , you're seeing darkness getting exposed , with everything going on with P Diddy and you know the island stuff and all that , and now all these other celebrities are starting to like get really vocal about their faith . You know the ones who are repenting and believing .
Speaker 1Because there was a time there where it's like I guess they felt fear of not being able to speak out and I feel like that , like you said it's , they are way more emboldened now to speak out for Christ .
Speaker 2Well , yeah , and because Hollywood became its own kingdom , and because it did not put Christ at the center , it put humanism at the center , the kingdom is starting to crumble , and so I think people are starting to get aware of that , like , hey , this kingdom that we were a part of is starting to fall apart , which means it's not all powerful , it's not all omnipotent like we thought . And so now people are . You know , there's either the people that are in denial and they cling to it , or there's the people that are like I got to do something about this I've got to address .
Speaker 2I actually have to address the harsh reality of there's something bigger than Hollywood out there .
Speaker 1so it's a beautiful thing it's crazy , I was just there yeah , you were . I saw the sign and everything you saw the sign . I saw the sign . It said Hollywood .
Speaker 2It was on a hill did you go to see if the entrance to the underworld was there ?
Speaker 1um to hades , um no , but like in piercey jackson , just for the reference .
Speaker 2If anyone wasn't catching on um , what ?
Speaker 1the new ? One or not ? The tv series ? The movie ? I saw the movie once forever ago , so I don't remember what happened . Is that what happened ? Percy Jackson and the Lightning .
Speaker 2Thief , yeah , they have to go into Hades and it's the entrances at the Hollywood sign .
Speaker 1So deal with that information when you will . I couldn't get close enough , but you know I got you . There you go . Well , there you go . Is this us leaving the corner ?
Speaker 2I guess we're done with it . So , Tyler , sorry for not keeping up with the transitions tonight , but this is us transitioning out of the corner .
Speaker 1We're trying something new . It's called whatever . We're trying whatever . Right now we're just messing around . No , I like this format though . I like the talking hanging out and just kind of being on topic , but not at the same time , if that makes sense . So , hey , if y'all like this , let us know . If you want us to be more strict on our topics and be very on topic the whole time and not getting off topic at all , let us know too , whatever you want . Yeah , the same thing that when I asked my wife what does she want for dinner ?
Speaker 2whatever whatever you want . Um , this is my response to that . I will . What do you want for dinner ? And my response will be whatever you feel like cooking me , because I hate doing anything . Then the pressure's on , then she's going to be like okay , what am I really good at cooking ?
Speaker 1Have you seen the video the guy made ? It's like this is how you handle this situation . The woman's like what are we eating ? It's like what do you think I chose for us ? And she's like Burger King .
Speaker 2Yeah , you got it right . Oh boy , we're going to Burger King . Yeah , I've seen stuff like that . Yeah , where it's like only your favorite place . Yeah , dude .
Speaker 1It's that mental turnaround , rabbit season , duck season , flipping it around on them type thing , psychological warfare .
Speaker 2Mm-hmm Yep .
Speaker 1So if you want to learn a new word in mohegan or piriqua , it is , are you ?
Speaker 2ready jerry's mama's shop makia we sung mama sung makia we suck .
Speaker 1What does that mean that I don't know , but you learned it .
Speaker 2That's the name of the little people . Oh , gotcha , that's their people group name the Machiawisug . Machia , what Machiawisug ? I can't say it fast , for some reason . Machiawisug , the little people , the little people , or forest spirits , he's got big pointy teeth . Look at the bones .
Speaker 1All right , I'll go kill it .
Speaker 2It's a rabbit , yeah , yeah . Yeah , that's a good one . I can't say the next thing because it's negative to our Lord and Savior . Yeah , yeah .
Speaker 1But anyways classic movie . Yeah , but anyways Classic movie , yeah , classic movie .
Speaker 2So that's it . That's all I got .
Speaker 1That's what we got for episode 11 . What is 11 in Spanish ?
Speaker 2Unce .
Speaker 1Episode unce . Did I say it right ?
Speaker 2Yeah , yeah , yeah , episode unce you just said it like you were French , for some reason , unce , did I say it right ? Yeah , yeah , yeah , episode , unce you just said it like you were French , for some reason . Unce Episode .
Speaker 1Unce Of the Saints that Serve podcast . Yep . Thank you so much again for tuning in . And again , just a quick little reminder go out and listen to Fix Us uh dylan , it's on our podcast feed and check in the description and we'll have his uh socials instagram in the show notes .
