It is bonus content it's bonus content , but our hearts are to help out Correct , so we're trying to use our platform to just help in any way that we can with these hurricanes that have blown through on the southeast of the country . Um , so , really well , all we're going to be doing is we're going to pray , um , in this episode , and we're also going to tell you a couple places you can go to donate . If you're trying to find somewhere to send some money to help with these people , for them to get supplies and with locating people and all these things . I mean because they don't have anything in North Carolina . They don't have water , they don't have power .

They don't have food and , if I'm not mistaken , it's worse in Florida right now .

Florida is pretty bad . I think that Milton kind of died down a little bit , so it wasn't as bad as the doomsday projection that they were giving . It was still bad .

So out at sea , it was five , and then when it hit , it was three Mm-hmm mm-hmm , but I mean it still caused flooding and damage in the Tampa Bay area and stuff like that . So the hurricanes have blown through Milton . Primarily is just Florida . Helene went through Florida , georgia , south Carolina and North Carolina , and the hardest hit area is the Western side of North Carolina . They're still counting the dead and they're still trying to locate people , and this is almost two weeks after the hurricane came through . And another thing that has happened that no one really knows about is Wyoming is experiencing crazy wildfires right now too . So we need to be praying for all areas of the United States that's being affected by just crazy weather . And then I've got a couple of links and we'll post these links in the show notes .

But the first one is the Salvation Army . They're all over the place but they are trying to help out with logistics of getting stuff to people so you can donate to them Samaritan's Purse which I've seen a lot of good videos about Samaritan's Purse being like their first getting out there and getting stuff going but they've got specific donation setups that you can do for Hurricane Helene specifically , or Hurricane Milton specifically .

Yeah , they , they have information about like , hey , these are the hurricanes that this is the response for these hurricanes and general us disaster relief , and then they have an option to donate Um .

I will say this about them I think they're just a good charity in general . Yes , samaritan's Purse . We've in church have done a lot of donating to them because of the work they do for children around Christmas time and all that fun stuff .

And then another place to get great information and I will once again , these links will be in the show notes it's North Carolina Disaster Information Center . So it is a website that you can go to . You can read information about the response and what they're doing in North Carolina . It has an area to donate . It has different places , organizations that you can donate to , that are actively working in the North Carolina area for recovery . For recovery , um , the milton effect like um , there's not really . I haven't seen anything that's specifically a florida like informational stuff like that .

One is because that's a north carolina like website so to date us a little bit , that we are recording this the day before this comes out , which is rare for us , but that makes it two days since Milton hit . So I don't think our numbers are going to be accurate because they're still out there assessing the situation yeah , they're still trying to figure stuff out .

Um , the one thing I I do have to say and you know , don't if you get super mad at me for saying it whatever FEMA's not been doing a great job . So if you were thinking about trying to do something along the lines of a FEMA scenario , I wouldn't , because they haven't been responding in North Carolina like they should be . They haven't been responding in North Carolina like they should be and that's all coming from . That's not coming from like traditional news on the TV .

That's coming from people out there experiencing or in the middle of it Volunteers that are hooking up to the internet or have cell phone service coming back into zones . They've been in dead zones and they come back in and they're like , hey , this is what's actually happening . So you know , if you don't trust that , that's okay , that's on , you know ? You know , wait however you want to . But from what I've seen so far , I wouldn't really be trusting in fema to help out a whole lot . Um , I would be looking at these non-profits , third-party non nonprofits that are actually there .

Yes , but it's like everyone's arguing over what FEMA has said and done . But the big thing is that no one's arguing over what the Salvation Army is doing . No one's arguing over what Samaritan Purse is doing , and there's a couple of others that I don't even have for you because I haven't really vetted them , but they're doing work there . I mean , even people are setting up GoFundMes and they're using that money to get supplies and then they're themselves taking them over there . So if you trust the person that's doing that , then you can do that route too . But you know , I mean everything helps because once again , like we don't even know the total toll that Helene has done , and it's been almost two weeks and here we are . Milton just blew through and they're assessing that as well . People are starting to get power back from Milton . There's still areas in North Carolina that still don't have power and they're not going to for a while . So do with that information what you will , but we'll have those addresses for the internet posted on the show notes that you can pull them up and do kind of your own research . But if you've got the opportunity to give , I encourage you to do so .

I know we're all struggling financially right now Kind of a hard time to be alive . If you can help , that would be great . You know , if you've got enough food on your table and you got a couple extra bucks that you can try to help someone else out . Blessings upon you . The lord sees that , he sees , sees that genuine kindness in your heart . So I guess I'm going to go ahead and pray and then that pretty much wraps us up , unless you've got anything else you wanted to add .

Good , old-fashioned Jesus conversation . Yes , sir , all right , here we go . Heavenly Father , we thank you that you , god , through the chaos of the world , are constant . Lord , you are present and you love your people . Lord , we lift up everyone that's struggling in Florida and in North Carolina and even in Georgia , lord , that , lord , you would be with them during this hard time where we've lost loved ones and We've lost homes and possessions . Lord , I just pray that there would be comfort in you .

Lord , we lift up the workers and the volunteers that are out there right now trying to just bring restoration to these communities that have been struck so hard . Keep them safe . And , lord , we just pray for your provision for these people in these areas that they need water , they need formula for their babies , they need food . Lord , please just help us to just be dependent on you for our needs and we trust in you to provide for them . Watch over our nation , lord , as we're struggling to have unity . Lord , I pray that we would cast our political parties to the side and we would just be united under you , jesus . You are our king and you will ultimately rule and bring unity and bring an end to wickedness .

So we wait for that day . Please bring it soon , it soon . And also , god , we lift up Wyoming . We don't have a lot of information about that , but they are getting hit by wildfires , so please just keep them safe . Um , and whatever we need to do to help them . Just bring that to the forefront . Father , we love and we praise you , jesus , amen , amen , all right , well , well , I hope this was helpful . If you're trying to figure out how to help out , donating is a great way to do it . I know not everyone can stop what they're doing and drive to these areas to do the manual labor . So , you know , if you can't do that , maybe if you got a couple extra dollars , maybe skip coffee for two days , three days and just make it at home .
